We did a half day tour and spent approx 2.5 hrs at the park. The walk-up passing the bears sanctuary was nice and relaxing. And once we reached the falls it was extraordinary, very unusual and worth the trip. It was exactly as you see it in all the pictures ! Unfortunately we didn’t go up the steps to the summit next to the falls. On the way down we took the other route (the one most people took to go up) and even had a leisurely cuppa halfway and did some people watching. Definitely worth the trip and enjoyed it much.

Beautiful waterfalls although it was very crowded and 2:45 min there was longer than we needed. The boat trip back to the city at sunset was magical and unforgeteable.

We booked the half day Khuangsi Waterfalls trip. Going to the falls in the morning was great, as it wasn't crowded. Also, the road to the falls is in pretty bad shape (as of February 2026)--rutted and dusty. Being in an air-conditioned van was very pleasant, and alone worth the cost of the trip. But on top of the comfortable ride, our guide Pany was terrific. He took us on a lesser-used trail to the top of the falls. He knew the best viewpoints and took plenty of pictures for us. We had plenty of time to climb up to The View and go through the bear rescue. We also stopped at the Hmong village. Overall, a great morning.

Kuang Si Waterfall is an absolute must-do when visiting Luang Prabang. The whole day felt perfectly paced, with enough time to explore, swim, and just enjoy the unreal turquoise water and jungle surroundings. Every level of the waterfall is stunning, and it honestly looks even better in real life than in photos. What truly made the experience exceptional was our guide, Da. Da was hands down the best guide I’ve had on any day trip — knowledgeable, kind, funny, and genuinely cared that everyone was having a great time. He shared local insights, helped with the best photo spots, and made the entire trip feel relaxed and personal rather than rushed or touristy. If you’re thinking about visiting Kuang Si Waterfall, do it — and if you can go with Da as your guide, you’re in the best possible hands. Highly recommended. 🌿💦

This excursion was absolutely worth it. Everything was well organized and the experience exceeded my expectations. The visit itself was interesting and enjoyable, but the highlight of the day was clearly the return cruise along the Mekong River, which was beautiful, relaxing and a perfect way to end the trip. The scenery was stunning and gave a completely different perspective of the area. Our guide was fantastic: knowledgeable, friendly and always attentive, making the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Overall, a very well-balanced excursion that I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the region.

Waterfalls fairly good but similar to lots of ones we had already seen in SE Asia. The cruise back along the Mekong river was the highlight for us 5/5! Really relaxing, great views with the sunset and a big bottle of beer to go with it.

Amazing experience visiting Kuang Si waterfalls, meeting and feeding elephants in the sanctuary and cruising back to Luang Prabang on the Mekong river at sunset. Special thanks to our tour guide Vone!
