What To Expect

Our driver guide will pick you up from agreed Point at 03h30am then drive to Mikumi National Park, the trip will take 5-6 hours of drive, arrive in mikumi mid morning , and direct to the game drive, while in the park you will have your hot lunch at Mikumi NP Banda restaurant. then proceed with the game drive, before you start driving out of the park. After the game drive, you will prepare to return back to Dar es salaam and arrive around 19h00 this will depend with the time you left the Park. Watch for giraffes, elephants, zebras, and buffalo against the backdrop of the mountains that surround the park—the 1247 square mile (3230 sq. km) park is contained by the Uluguru mountains, the Rubeho mountains, and the Lumango mountains. Break for lunch at 1pm, then spend the afternoon on a second game drive: explore the varied terrain of the park, which includes a floodplain, the ‘little Serengeti,’ and hippo pools where the enormous creatures wallow in thick mud

Travel with Safaris Partners was really good adventure, without any problems. They were really helpful and open for talk and sugestions. It was well-organised trip, guide was well prepared and eager to talk about animals we saw. The rooms were nice and clean, food was ok. Mikumi park is really beautiful. Taking safari there was amazing experience.

This is the most amazing trip if you need to do it in one day and you have doubts. As soon as you book Edward will get in touch with you and he wiil make sure that you are set up with the driver if you need to be pickup from Dar. They pick up right from the hotel at the about 4 AM in the morning. Apple ( I'm not sure if I spelled correctly) is the most skillful and experienced driver. She has good music and comfortable seat for the long journey. As soon as you arrive to the town's office you have 2 hours to drive to the park with the safari truck. Patrick is the one who will take you to the park give you an amazing tour in park and arrange for unch. He will make sure that you get to see all animals and interruct with them (no petting lions allowed lol). You get to see the nature at its best lions being lions lions while hunting for their food. Zebras that like to be photographed and giraffes that like to interact with people. Sometimes these animals will welcome you to the park before you even enter the park. PTrick is very knowledgeable and will make surethat you have fun. Have some snacks if you like them make sure you stay hydrated.

Patrick (I am sorry if that is spelt wrong!) was absolutely amazing, showing us all of the animals at Mikumi and he truly persisted until we had seen a lion! He was so knowledgeable about the animals and birds - I learned so much! The trip was comfortable and there was brilliant communication before and during booking and lunch was amazing! Highly recommend!

I was in Morogoro and I found Safari Partners'offer very attractive and reliable, so I ve been in contact with the Manager Edouard, which was very receptive ro my requests and professional and provide me his best guides and drivers. Warm and deep thanks to Azaria, Hamis and Patrick, the travel guides and drivers who bring me throught Uluguru Mountains ans Mikumi national park. In the latter, we saw lions, leopards, herds of elephants, impalas, wild pigs, girafes, iguanas and hippos it was just incredible... And the price was more than really reasonnable for what you got and the find me also an accomodation (included in the price) and my way out to Mbeya (southern Tanzania). Thank you Safari Partners! Thanks to you I will definitely come back

We booked the daytrip safari, and the trip definitely exceeds our expectations. We opted to leave for Mikumi at 3:30am and our pickup car was on time, which is so good! Not to forget our guide, Frederick is awesome & very patient with us. We manage to see alot of animals (impala, antaloupe, hippos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, etc) even in a short amount of time. Although we didn’t get to see any of the big cats but it was definitely an enjoyable and unforgettable trip!

We went on a 3 day / 2 night safari in Mikumi National Park. Safari Partners is the best !! I can only recommend their service !! They offer excellent service at a competitive price. Edward is very accommodating and Santiago is the best guide of all time! He is clever, funny and passionate about his job. We really enjoyed spending time with him and learned a lot about him and the animals. During our safari, we were able to see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, hippopotamuses, lions (3 lions in a day !!!) and even a baby leopard. It's so much fun to track all these animals by following their footprints, the smell of corpses (animals killed by predators) and birds flying around it. And the landscapes are breathtaking !!! Thanks to Santiago's patience, we were able to take beautiful pictures. Thank you very much Safari Partners !! We will definitely come back :)
