What To Expect
Amphitheatre de Pula
Enter the treasury of Roman remains. Once an important Roman colony, this astonishing city was a thriving urban centre with forum, temples and city walls. The Roman Empire left its enduring mark here, and you will feel it the moment you step inside of it. From Golden Gates, the Temple of Augustus, numerous floor mosaics, and of course the city's main attraction – the grandiose Amphitheatre. Before we continue to our next destination, it's time to recharge our batteries with delicious specialties of Istrian cuisine.
Porec Old Town
Discover Poreč's Old Town, built on a small peninsula where history began more than 2000 years ago, which is why the old city is a cultural monument itself. Walk the old streets Decumanus and Cardo Maximus by the remains of Roman temples of Mars and Neptune, and the most important monument- the Euphrasian Basilica, one of the most beautiful preserved monuments of Early Byzantine architecture in the Mediterranean.

4.00Very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. He provided a lot of information without being overwhelming and with humor. Lunch was tasty. I think 15 to 20 minutes more in Pula would have been ideal but it was still a worthwhile excursion.
Excellent day trip round ancient Istrian sites, with delicious food included.

5.00This was an excellent day trip to Pila and Poreč, led by our knowledgeable guide Gorga. Our highlight was visiting the Amphitheatre at Pula, but all the Roman sites in these two cities were really interesting to see and to learn all about. Lunch at the Familija Ferlin Agroturizam restaurant was a real bonus as well, with a chance to try homemade, traditional pastas, sauces and soups. We highly recommend this tour!

5.00Pula and Porec are really worth a trip. The cities have a characterful historic old town centre and an interesting history. Our guide has brought us closer to the story through very short stories. There was also sufficient time for independent tours. We were particularly impressed by the well-preserved amphitheatre in Pula. The price - performance ratio is right, especially considering that the included lunch (aperative, typical tomato soup, typical Gulaschart with 2 types of pasta, dessert) did not take place in a tourist offshoot, but rather on an agrotourism business (small farm): very good quality and friendly service. The information in advance corresponded to the previously accustomed high quality of viator. Thank you also for responding to a request at pickup.

5.00Great tour with stops in Pula to see the amphitheater and historic old town, Svetvincenat for a traditional lunch and lastly, historic Porec. The tour guide was local and passionate about Istria. The tour lasted 7+ hours.

5.00Guide was very good and knowledgeable about history and towns of Pula & Porec. The bus driver was excellent as well and maneuvered the bus through the narrow runs and turns with expertise! The meal at the agroturism farm was delicious.

5.00Our guide was brilliant - really helpful and knowledgable. The Roman arena was a great place to visit, and we enjoyed seeing Pula. Lunch was a high point of the day: authentic Istrian food and wine, in a quiet hilltop village. The day was a bit too long for our youngest (10) especially in the heat, so I would not recommend this trip for younger children.
