Visit locally owned tapas bars, meet their owners and taste the blend of modern and traditional cuisine that makes this area so unique. Taste iconic dishes like cured Iberian ham, seasonal tomato salad and ugly croquetas (the best kind!). You'll also dig into Madrid's lesser-known specialties like torreznos (pork belly), tostas (toasted sourdough topped with all the good stuff) and incredible wines from artesanal producers. This movable feast will be the most delicious night of your trip! Along the way you'll meet the passionate people who are keeping Madrid's food traditions alive. Tapas tour in the heart of malasaña was just what we needed to kickstart our time in Madrid. Our guide Angie was incredibly warm and friendly, knew all about the area and is clearly passionate about helping visitors experience Madrid’s culture. Each stop had a typical Spanish drink and tapa that complimented each other. Loved the venues - some over 100 years old - and the short walks through historical squares in between. Took us to places we wouldn’t have known about on our own, and far from the typical tourist spots. Most importantly for our family, they were happy to accommodate gluten free (celiac) food for one person without compromising the tour for the other person, and understood the importance of avoiding contamination. Would do more tours with her in future visits!

We do a lot of food tours. Love to sample and get some great information about food and culture. This one is now at the top of our list. Food/beverage were great and the guide was incredible. Must do in Madrid.

What an absolutely fantastic tour. Just such a great time. The food stops were amazing and the guide Simon was delightful. Super knowledgeable and very personable. I loved too that after the tour was over, they sent us a link to a list of the places where we'd been and what we'd eaten at each stop. Such a great thing. I will definitely be recommending this to everyone I know who is traveling to Madrid.

What a fun night with Andrea! We had the best time learning about and exploring Malasaña. The food and drink were all complimented with history and useful information about the area. We love to do a food tour when we visit Madrid and this was one of the best!

We had the best experience with our tour guide Lauren! All of the places we went were fabulous and the neighborhood we toured was filled with interesting history and culture. The food and drinks were delicious and the hosts at each restaurant were so gracious. We had a super fun group and all ended up going for a drink afterward! It was our first night in Madrid and helped us get a lay of the land. 100% recommend this tour to anyone that likes to eat and drink and is interested in learning about the culture of Madrid and Spain!

This was a great tour with local insights great food and a good sample of the local neighborhood including a variety of drinks from beer local vermouth wine ( and great tasting tips). The local feel and being immersed in it for a few hours was great fun. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

I had a fabulous tour with Ines on Saturday. We had an intimate group of 3 guests (who were also great and we've stayed in touch) and I felt this small group worked really well. Ines was extremely knowledgeable, relaxed and friendly - the perfect guide. I had the best croqueta I've ever had (along with all the other delicious food) What a lovely way to discover the delicious food and drink on offer in Madrid. I'd do this all over again next week if I could :) Highly recommended!
