Via Ferrata, The Děčín Shepherd's Wall in Bohemian Switzerland is really for everyone. The beginner will acquire the basic skills of moving along a secured path in a very interesting environment. The Shepherd's Wall offers a choice of 16 paths with lengths of 150 - 170 m on one rock and absolutely everyone will be amazed by the breathtaking views of the opposite castle and the deep Elbe canyon. You will be safely accompanied by our certified guide along the way up. At the same time, you only need about 2 hours for this experience.
The Via Ferrata ascent in Děčín is also suitable for children. According to our experience, we recommend a height of at least 130 cm / 4′ 3″. The weight limit is given by the technical parameters of the climbing sets, which determine the functionality from 40 to 120 kg. Adults and children lighter than 40 kg / 88 pounds need to be secured with a rope and our experienced guides will take care of that.

5.00We were two participants and the guide on the tour: Vivian - young lady, her first climb ever, Radek - senior, climbing more than five decades Tom - our Active Point guide, young, very competent, insightful and helpful. Even if the ferrata might look scarifying for some first time users, Vivian did not look scared. We perceived the ferrata to be absolutely safe and extraordinary good maintained. Same for the Active Point rental equipment included in the tour price. It was a highly recommendable exciting tour, that we'll keep in memory for ever.

5.00Great via ferrata experience with our family (two teenagers). We had to wait until the afternoon due to morning rain, but it was absolutely worth it. The route was fun and safe, and our guide was fantastic—very enthusiastic and even spoke Dutch! Highly recommended.

5.00We are a family consisting of 7. The groups they accompany upstairs consist of max 5 people. Immediately it was suggested to use an extra supervisor so that we could still go up as one group. The guidance was great! Beautiful pictures were taken along the way by our Dutch speaking guide! Very nice! Breathtaking views! The harnesses are at your disposal for a full day, so you can climb up again, if you wish. The boys here have eagerly taken advantage of that! Highly recommended!

5.00We absolutely loved this experience and it was one of the, if not the highlight of our trip to Bohemian Switzerland. With little experience in bouldering and top rope climbing our amazing guide Yael took us to the top. She picked an amazing route, challenging and fun for us and guided us very well, patiently and enthusiastically. Giving amazing tips before, during and after climbing. We absolutely loved her and felt safe with her. The views are amazing and it really feels like a victory when reaching the top. Even of maybe even more so if you have been totally roasted by the sun while climbing ;). If you are able, please do this activity, it will be the highlight of your stay!

5.00I went alone but the Active Point team was able to put me with a few other people that spoke the same language for instructions (they have tours in English, Czech, and other languages if a guide knows it). I came in without experience so I started with a climb guided by Yael, who was great at showing us how to climb safely and a route that was right for our abilities. The views of the castle and city from the wall are unparalleled, and Yael took plenty of pictures of us climbing to share as well. After that, the guided trip included rental of the ferrata equipment for the rest of the day, so I climbed other routes for a few more hours. If you already have ferrata experience, you can just rent the harness and helmet without needing a guide. The shop is not even 30 seconds away from the base of the wall, so pickup and dropoff of equipment is no problem at all. Definitely something I would recommend for anyone visiting Decin.

5.00As a family of five (kids 10, 13, 14 years) we booked a guided Via Ferrata and had a great time. Our english speaking guides were very experienced, enthusiastic and took safety very serious.
