So good! My tour with Rainui was very educational and captured the true essence of Maohi culture.

The actual excursion was fantastic, exciting informative led by a very experience guide with a sense of humour. The late change in pick up location was somewhat unfortunate. Whilst the excursion was fantastic, the performance of Viator / trip advisor and was appalling with duplicate booking references and confirmation numbers for the same excursion, inappropriate updates to bookings, the use of email addresses you had been informed were unavailable and the inability to contact you (and Booking.com) via your websites as email addresses suggested by you on your apps to make contact were email addresses that were deemed unable to receive emails. This is almost fraudulent and should be reported to the appropriate authorities. It was only by the diligence of the operator (Te Mana Tahiti Tours) that these duplicates were brought to my attention and my thanks to him. U had tried many, many times to contact you via your website and by email to addresses suggested in your website and /or email always received the same response email address does cannot receive emails. So much time was spent trying to address these issues without success.

Very nice discovery of the center of the island of Tahiti, with the explanations of Rainui, an authentic Maohi to the frank talk. Sharing Polynesian culture and legends throughout the tour.

This was the best tour! We have done many tours and have actually loved them all and this one is at the top of our list! From breathtaking views to incredible care, this tour has it all. I am so grateful for such an incredible experience today! This is by far the best way to see Tahiti and the raw, rugged beauty of it. Thank you.🙏🏻

Day at the top in 4x4 on the "ferry" with our guide Rauni , for this crossing of the island of Papeete from north to south through the mountains and its breathtaking landscapes. An impressive journey in the center of the island , its fauna its flora , its waterfalls , its lakes ... its villages.Rauni knew how to captivate us and make us discover the history of his island through his stories, his stories, his legends, all this with passion and good humor! .....

Clearly, this was the best excursion that we had during our 14 days in French Polynesia. We just been on a two week cruise and I had gone on several excursions. They were also wonderful but this was a level above that.Raniui was an exceptional guide. he provided nonstop entertainment. He had joked I think, that I was going to be his human sacrifice. He brought out a knife, had me stand next to a river, and hold my head up high to expose my neck. Luckily he was in a good mood that day. Before we made the trip we stopped at a café to pick up lunch sandwiches and pastries. This was very wise since up on the mountains you would not find anything similar.Raniui you can tell by his pictures and other reviews is a native Tahitian. He speaks his mind so be aware that he will not mince words. as was mentioned in other reviews, get ready for a rough ride. I would not recommend this if you have a bad back. Most of us stood the entire way, but enjoyed the scenery so much better. there is a tunnel that you also go through. You might get wet. Also, wearing comfortable water shoes would probably be of great benefit. When you stand on his cushions, you cannot wear shoes. The waterfall you stop at provided a nice cool down. It’s wise to bring water shoes and a swimsuit as you will be walking over rocks. Bring a towel so you can dry off afterwards and if you want to, you can change into comfortable shorts for the rest of the trip. We also saw eels in a river which he fed. Some of them about 6 feet long. I was wondering whether or not I could eat them for sushi! The comedy was almost nonstop. No wonder his excursion is so highly rated. Do yourself a favor and not miss this excursion. Hope this helps.

If you want to see a taste of what Tahiti used to look like before all the foreign tropical plants were brought here and now dominate the lowlands, this trip will be interesting for you. Incredible views and good info provided about the culture and history. Rainui was great. Highly recommend.

Guide was prompt, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The tour was off-road in a 4x4 through the interior valley of Tahiti Nui. An excellent way to spend the day.
