Board our "Poti Marara", the typical fishing boat of Tahiti. Originally designed for flying fish fishing (Marara in Tahitian), the Poti Marara has become an essential tool, combining comfort and versatility for all types of fishing, whether trolling, popping, jig or the traditional method of "POITO".
Our crew consists of passionate locals who have grown up in harmony with the ocean, master all local and traditional fishing techniques and have a deep knowledge of the marine environment. They will be happy to share their expertise and introduce you to the different fishing techniques, whether you are a novice or experienced fisherman.
During your trip, you can enjoy a snack prepared from local products, to maintain your energy throughout the adventure.

What To Expect
Embark on an unforgettable 4-hour adventure on the ocean around Tahiti in search of schools of fish, while admiring the breathtaking view of the mountains that border the island ! Our experienced crew, passionate about fishing, will implement various techniques to maximize your chances of making a good catch. Together, let’s go in search of the Mahimahis, bonites, red tuna and marlins ! We provide you with all the necessary equipment: two large rods of 130 lbs, lures, baits, as well as safety equipment to ensure your comfort and security. To enhance your trip, we will offer you a delicious snack prepared from local products, to recharge your batteries throughout this exciting adventure.

4.00Great experience with Vehiatua! We did trolling and 'traditional' fishing with buoys which was cool to see. Vehiatua is great at targeting active tuna , which was lots of fun, and we reeled in two skipjacks and an albacore on the buoys. If you know the kind of fishing you prefer, recommend requesting and he can adjust. The buoy fishing gets slow. Beautiful views of the Tahiti coastline as well!

5.00We spent an absolutely fantastic day fishing with JB from Tahiti Ocean Adventure, between Tahiti and Moorea. I was with my daughter and friends, and all, young and old, were won over by this unique experience! We caught two beautiful trolling bonitos and a large white tuna using the traditional Tahitian method. JB literally took us into his world: passionate, pedagogue, he explained everything, showed us the techniques, and shared with us his incredible stories of fishing and spearfishing. It is unstickable on fish, their behavior, their habitats and the best ways to fish them. His good mood is infectious, his boat is splendid and perfectly equipped, with high-end equipment. We leave with memories full of mind... and one desire: to come back to go fishing for the sea bream with him!

5.00Encounter with a true nature lover. I came with my 13 year old son who loves fishing. I can tell you that he will remember it all his life. He caught the 3 biggest fish he could never have without knowing it from Tahiti Ocean Adventures. There was trolling and the traditional buoy fishing method (it took fathoms of thread in the water🤣 I had aches the next day). JB, such is his nickname, knows a lot of fishing stories that he has lived: do not hesitate to ask him the one where he was loaded by a longimane shark (it should be made a book, we stayed hanging on his lips while waiting for the fish to bite the bait.) New boat , new equipment , everything is well prepared, nothing is left to chance. He will explain the importance of bird hunting gestures in relation to fish. You can see he has a lot of experience. He passionately shares his knowledge. You will understand, you can go there with your eyes closed.

5.00Mauruuru maitai Vehiatua for this beautiful big fishing session and for your professionalism and knowledge, we had a nice day as well as a good fishing session, 4 papai (small bluefin tuna) and 1 toheveri (big bonito), which we could enjoy for dinner. For lovers of big fishing I recommend Tahiti Ocean Adventure, for the shot what an Adventure!!!;-)

1.00The boat was small with a driver that only put out one line and boated us around for 3 hrs, the only water was a large bottle that was warm and already open. After three hours of nothing we went to the reef area and caught to small guppies. Really!! The price was way too much. I would advise anyone the book a fishing experience with your hotel. Oh yes the main driver had a dog but his hand so we got number two. They were both spear fisher man and there was a tournament going on…which I’m sure the main driver was competing in that day. Ps this is the first review I have ever written,, but I don’t want anyone to make the same mistake
