Amazing experience, met at trailer and jumped in a van with about 12 other people and our guide. After bumpy 15 minutes arrived at top of canyon in middle of the desert. Took very steep flight of stairs to bottom and proceeded to enter slot canyon. As beautiful as advertised and the photos don’t do it justice. I will state one caveat if you are scared of heights or unable to physically climb simple ladders, this may not be the tour for you. Probably not great for small children either. But totally doable and worth it. Once you return to the top you have some scenic views and more photo opportunities to enjoy. Guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and gave us plenty of times to take pictures. Never felt rushed as well.

I am a fit 67 year old but have bad balance and yet this was a perfect fit for me - nothing too extreme but make sure you have stamina enough to go by up lots of ladders. Beautiful setting and views. Ask to go with tour guide named John - I am very curious and pummeled him with questions. He had SO much interesting info about the environment, the Navajo culture, the geological history, the plants, the animals, the history, everything. Not a question posed that he didn’t answer and go beyond with great info. Impressed was I!

This was an experience and a half!! Loved the off roading and the brief history given by Monica, our Navajo tour guide!! Best of all, the climb down the canyon and the climb up through tiny nooks and amazing red rock dens!! Bring water for after the climb!!!

It's really amazing. From outside, you couldn't tell there is a narrow trail there. But when I went downstairs, it was incredibly pretty. Our guide, John, is super friendly. He is willing to help us take photos. And he cared about our safety.

Our Navajo guide Mike was so knowledgeable & great with the camera! He helped guide us through stairwells and passages with such ease, educating us on the local horticulture as well. We enjoyed the tour through Deer Canyon with breathtaking views and swirling walls and arches! The canyon definitely does not disappoint! We went on Christmas Eve and the top of the canyon was windy and cold, also during the rainier season, so be prepared with a good warm weather-proof jacket and hiking boots. They were kind enough to take us as a walk-in appointment, so thank you so much for accommodating us! We loved the tour, God bless all your future endeavors!
