Join us for a walking feast through Sarajevo’s old town and beyond, where every bite tells a story and every stop uncovers a new layer of the city’s rich cultural mix. Led by passionate local hosts, this tour offers authentic Bosnian flavors, local traditions, and a behind-the-scenes look into everyday life that guidebooks can't show you.
You’ll taste your way through Sarajevo’s rich culinary identity—starting with freshly baked somun bread paired with smoky cured meats and artisanal cheeses, followed by hand-rolled pita and fresh yougurt. We’ll then visit a local aščinica, a traditional Bosnian eatery, where you’ll try warm, home-style dishes just like locals have for generations. The experience continues with a tasting of up to three types of rakija—or, for those who prefer non-alcoholic options, a sweet ending awaits with baklava and Bosnian coffee prepared the traditional way.
We don’t just feed you—we reveal to you where East meets West in the most delicious way.

Greet your guide at the entrance of Tržnica, the indoor city market where locals buy fresh food produced in untouched nature, in places with plenty of clean air and healthy spring water. Immerse yourself to the world of delicious cheeses, unforgettable tastes of cured and smoked meat and other products prepared by centuries-old recipes. Feel the rhythm of the city as you discover the stories behind the cultural, historical and social sites of the city's core: City Market, Liberation square, Orthodox church, medieval tombs, Obala Kulina Bana Street, National Theatre, Tito's Street, Eternal Flame, Markale, Cathedral, Jewish Quarter, Gazi Husrev Bey's Mosque, Baščaršija, Sebilj. Learn how Bosnian pie (pita) is made and try some in a buregdžinica (traditional pie restaurant) where Sarajevans eat. As you walk along Tito's street and Obala Kulina Bana street enjoy sounds and freshness of Miljacka river and hear backstories about important Sarajevo buildings and monuments, and afterward, reward your plate with some Bosnian traditional cooked dishes and watch as they are prepared in a traditional restaurant. The tour ends in the heart of Baščaršija, where we will have some homemade brandy, juice and/or coffee and enjoy the ambiance of a typical Bosnian cafe. Bid your guide and group farewell but feel free to remain in the bar after the tour concludes.

Whilst this experience was a little different to other foodie tours we had a great time. The food was an excellent representation of local food. The food prepared by the host was better than than that provided on the walk. Our host/guide was amazing. He shared his personal experience of the war which was very interesting and informative.

We loved our food tour which gave us so much interesting information about the history, culture and people of Sarajevo and Bosnia more generally. Enes ran our tour (though the manager also joined most of it and was great too). Enes was fantastic and we really enjoyed his company and humour. He's been doing tours for a long time and his passion and knowledge really shine through. Superb!

We did the Sarajevo gourmet food/rakija tour and our tour guide was Mery/Marium This tour has amazing food and rakija included, as well as a nice walk through the major areas of Sarajevo such as the old town. It was nice to have our tour guide give us a bit of history behind Sarajevo and Bosnia. The Burak was my favourite meal, I personally love the meat and spinach, and each meal felt homemade and authentic. At our last food stop I tried some Hurmasice (Bosnian dessert biscuit soaked in syrup) and it was really good, one of my fav desserts. And then before your tour ends you have some rakija! All in all I give a 4/5. Just some feedback for our tour guide; I feel we would have enjoyed more conversation and knowledge about Bosnian history, food, culture, etc. I just felt like the tour fell a bit flat when it came to actually learning about things and being immersed in the tour. More talking and interesting conversation would have made this tour a 5/5, but I am really happy with the locations we visited and the food was good! Mery is a nice lady that is a newer tour guide, and I feel as with more time and feedback she will become better prepared for future tours. thank you 🇧🇦

Our food, drink, and history tour of Sarajevo was an amazing experience, largely thanks to our guide, Ilma. Her historical knowledge of the city, intertwined with her personal stories of her family, made the tour both educational and enjoyable. The food was excellent, we received great recommendations, and learned a little Bosnian too! Ilma's warm personality and storytelling brought Sarajevo’s culture to life, making this tour an absolute must for anyone visiting the city.

I’m from Florida, my husband is from Bosnia, and we needed to kill time before our next flight. Our tour guide Enes blew us away with a lively walking historical and traditional food tour! Even my Bosnian husband learned a lot of new information. Enes taught us about Yugoslavia, Ottoman Empire, Tito, the 90s siege, and so much more! If you’re a curious history buff and open minded person, you should definitely take this tour. You will eat enough and walk enough to make all those calories worth it! Enes is so charismatic and high energy, 10/10 would recommend.

We had a fabulous day with our friendly tour guide..She was eager to provide us so many different experiences of food and drink. We cannot say enough praises for our tour guide. Christie and I really appreciated the personal touch she gave us. Marvelous day and would recommend this tour to anyone. Wish we could remember her name but we think it was Elana. Thank you so much for a great experience of Bosnian food and drink.

had a great tour on our first full day in sarajevo. my wife and i were the only ones who booked a tour that day (saturday may 27). we had a younger guy who i believe said he was giving his first tour. he was very knowledgeable about sarajevo and seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. he took us to a couple places that i'm sure we would not have found on our own. as we finished up with a couple of drinks we chatted about the rest of our trip we had planned, some of his future plans and just overall what was going on around the world. it was a great way to spend our first full afternoon in bosnia.
