Having just made my first trip to Derry, I felt like I knew so much about Derry once our tour was over. The history of the conflict is interesting as well as VERY EMOTIONAL! I feel for the people of Free Derry and hope that something like that NEVER happens again. Our tour guide shared first hand events of those days, since he himself took part in those awful days. He was knowledgeable, kind and shared what he lived. We then went onto the Free Derry Museum. I highly recommend this tour and checking out the museum afterwards.

The tour covers a very small area, so there is minimal walking required. It starts right next to the museum, making it hard to miss. Both the tour and the information provided were excellent. It’s worth mentioning that the tour guide's brother was killed during the Troubles, and his story is actually presented in the museum. The tour lasted about an hour and a half.

This was an excellent tour from someone who experienced Bloody Sunday first hand. It really helped me understand the context of the Troubles and the ongoing ramifications today. I wouldn't say it is FUN, because it's very serious material. But it's important and something I was thankful to increase my understanding of. One note: this isn't great for kids. My 17 year old handled it well, but my 12 year old was completely lost. A little bit of context would be helpful, and I don't know that I'd recommend it for anyone younger than 16 or so. They'll just have a harder time following.

Paul gave us a tour integrating history and his own experiences of The Troubles including insights from his conversations with mural artists.

Walking through the Bogside with a tour guide who was directly impacted by Bloody Sunday was incredible. History is my thing and what I got my degree in, but there aren't a lot of historical topics that interest me that give me the opportunity to hear a first-person account of events. It was freezing out and pouring rain and TripAdvisor says "Private car that seats four passengers provided incase of poor weather." I don't even know how you would take this tour by car, but a car was not provided. I won't ding the tour for that but that was rather misleading. We all stood out in the rain. I couldn't feel my face by the end, but it was well worth it. Make sure to allow time to visit the Museum of Free Derry at the end.

Extremely informative and interesting. An authentic narrative of a truly awful time in Northern Ireland. c Would highly recommend the 1.5 hours with Michael who is an absolute legend.

Noel, our guide, was excellent. Informative, engaging, friendly and dealt with the topic with the sensitivity and seriousness it warrants. A must do if you have any interest in Bloody Sunday.

This was the best walking tour I’ve ever taken . Paul was not only a Derry City native but someone who experienced Bloody Sunday personally . He took us to sites I’ve never witnessed before . He was very factual in his account and totally unbiased , which I felt was very important . He was very open to questioning on the tours account and tailored it to everyone there . 100 percent passionate and engaging I could not recommend him highly enough If you take this tour , you have a full and honest account of what happened .

This was an authentic experience. Our guide, Noel, was a local man who lived through “the troubles” and spoke from first hand experience. The detail he shared with the group was based on his personal encounters and lived experience.
