If you want to hear some of the real stories of the troubles and what life was like at the time living in Derry (we don't use that long name 😉) then highly recommend taking this tour. Our guide today was John who shared his own life experiences, losing relatives and friends but also a huge insight into the justice system or the lack of. We are so glad to have had this experience and if you read this John, thank you so much.

Such an interesting tour. MacRea was a local guide who knew the area inside out. I really appreciated the non-partisan, factual, but deeply experienced insight into Bloody Sunday and the peaceful civil rights movement that came before it. It was a small group, which meant we could easily ask questions and hear our softly spoken guide clearly throughout. A really worthwhile tour and one I would definitely recommend.

John, our guide, was directly impacted by the events on Bloody Sunday and therefore was able to give detailed information about what happened. It was difficult to hear the stories but very important to remember. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

What an excellent tour! John was our tour guide and he is awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Having first-hand experience of what it was like on, and leading up to, Bloody Sunday and living in Derry his whole life, he is able to really convey what life was like in Derry back then as well as today. We found this tour fascinating and a visit to the Museum of Free Derry afterwards was excellent because we had a better grasp of everything before going into the museum.

Excellent and informative tour with guide who had personal experience of the events being discussed. Distance walked was not excessive and the pace was perfect..Tour lasted about. 90 minutes. We learned a lot in about the sad events of Bloody Sunday and the subsequent struggle for justice, ass well as the iconic murals of the Bogside. We would recommend this tour to visitors to Derry.

Was so looking forward to this tour and was so disappointed. We were with a large group and our guide had no microphone making his commentary useless as we could not hear much of it. What we did hear was dry and delivered lecture style and fast, not giving us much time to absorb information. We left the tour early and cannot recommend
