We begin on the mainland with a morning brief at Freedom Rainbow Beach. At 9:30, once the brief is over and we’re packed and ready to go, we depart for Fraser Island (K'Gari). After a quick 10 minute drive to the ferry, we board for a short barge crossing to World Heritage listed Fraser Island, the world’s largest sand island! Once we land, we drive for around 1 hour to Eurong Resort along what’s known as Fraser Island’s beach highway, the 75 Mile Beach (with a speed limit of 80 km/49 mph)! There you can grab a coffee and a snack for morning tea (own cost).

From here we head to the picturesque Lake McKenzie, famous for its amazing scenery and almost crystal clear waters. We'll enjoy lunch here with plenty of time to enjoy this Fraser Island favourite with some swimming and relaxing on the beach. I just came back from the Dingos 3 day tag along tour, and had an amazing experience!! Pete was our tour guide and he couldn’t have been greater. Super knowledgeable, funny and helpful. Loved all the different activities, honestly wish we’d spent a bit longer on the island! The tents were super comfy with a quite thick camping mat and pillow. Food was great, and it was fun to take turns cooking. Thank you Pete!!!

Had the best 3 days on k’gari island with our Dingo tour.. could have stayed longer especially an absolute huge applause to our tour guide Pete! An authentic, unique fun guy, knows his stuff, provides all the comedy and just an all round legend! Highlights definitely include Pile Valley Rainforest, Lake Mackenzie and the lazy river and Eli Creek. Highly recommended for wanderlusts, adventure goers and just general nature enthusiasts.

Pete is amazing! Loved the food, live music and the places we went. Definitely too many people on the tour at a time and there could have been more food. Please treat your staff better though! They do a lot and deserve more pay!! Had such a fun couple of days

At first, we didn’t really know what to expect from this activity that was proposed by happy travels, but we ended up extremely pleased with the experience ! The activities throughout the days made it fun (driving a 4WD in sand and jungle), but the people made it unforgettable! The connections across all ages, and atmosphere on the campsite made it truly great. To us, a big part of creating this dynamic is who you will have as a guide; and there Dave was beyond exceptional, he’s born for this! He keeps it relaxed and is able to connect with everyone, he structures the day while leaving freedom to everyone and brings a great energy throughout the days. If you can choose your guide, ask for him, truly great human being. Paul & Odile

We have just come back from our Dingos tour with Dave. He was INCREDIBLE. Always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and he was the best tour guide. Nothing bad to say about Dave. He made our tour and experience at Fraser Island even better.
