What To Expect

Nassau-Baroniemonument

The Nassau Monument or Barony Monument commemorates the arrival of the German count Engelbrecht van Nassau in the Netherlands. The three reliefs show how he and his wife, 11-year-old Johanna van Polanen, born in Breda, were inaugurated as Lord and Lady of Breda. With their marriage, Engelbrecht and Johanna laid the foundations for the House of Orange Nassau, our Dutch royal family.

Stadspark Valkenberg

The Valkenberg park is the green oasis in downtown Breda. A park with royal allure where, until the early nineteenth century, only castle residents and their guests were welcome. Today, it is a wonderful meeting place. Students seek the sun here, or just the shade of the century-old trees. Fathers and mothers let their offspring play in the playground while they themselves settle down on the terrace of T-Huis. Even the dozens of chickens and geese feel right at home here.

It was great! A fun trip through Breda full of fun assignments. We had a lot of fun with it! The assignments were fine to do, and meanwhile some historical information about Breda.

A very nice experience. Breda is a well-known city for us, but we now came to places where you otherwise do not go so quickly. Was very nice! Definitely go again in another city.

We played challenging and it came with fun puzzles. Nice way to explore the city and keep your eyes open and your brain cracking on the go. Ideal that it is not time bound so you can make nice stops along the way!

The Outside Escape is a great way to get to know a city. Especially with children involved. The puzzles are a fun challenge for young and old. And for children who are still a little too young, the photos that need to be found are an excellent addition. Everyone can participate in their own way. We have now done an escape in Delft and Breda and there will certainly be more to follow.
