Gilgit-Baltistan

These mines are in the way to Gilgti from Skardu on another side of Indus River. It is a hidden treasure trove of semi-precious gemstones. This valley, surrounded by the majestic Karakoram Mountains, is rich in minerals and offers an adventurous mining experience for geologists, miners, and gemstone enthusiasts.

Karimabad

Your travel starts from Gilgit to Karimabad-Hunza on Karakorum Highway, 2 hours drive and 100 km, you will stop at Rakaposhi View Point, under the shadow of Mount Rakaposhi and at the point where two continental plates collided and formed the high mountain Ranges of Himalaya and Karakorum. Arrival Karimabad and visit of Bazaar and gemstone shops. You May also visit Baltit and Altit Forts

Gilgit-Baltistan

After having breakfast jeep drive to Summyar and visits some shops and meet with some dealers and drive around 45 minutes where jeep road ends then trek to Madurkosh, where set up the tents and overnight in tent Day-08: Trek 3-5 hours to mine/tent Early in the morning after having breakfast trek to the Chumar Bakoor mine, It steep trek to the top then traverse to the mines, where a lot of local miners will find you that looks like a village

Karimabad

In the morning visit to mines, meet with miners and mix up with miners and some dealers and can look in debris to be lucky. After trek 2-3 hours to road then drive to Karimabad, have little relax and meet with dealers may visit gemstone shops in Aliabad and can purchase gemstone from miners or dealers or from shops. Evening little bit relax and overnight at hotel in Karrimabad

Besham City

After having breakfast travel on Karakorum Highway (KKH), along the Indus Riverv via Chilas and Khoistan that is around 8-9 hours and distance is 400Km, overnight at hotel in Besham

Swat

Drive from Besham to Swat Valley via Shangla Pass 2-3 hours drive and distance is around 60 km, arrial to Swat and visit of Bazaar and meet with gemstone dealers.
