Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Please note that a moderate level of fitness is required for walking tours - as there are steps to climb, and cobble stone sidewalks. We will be on our feet for around 2-2.5 hours in total.
Senate Square
The statue of Tsar Alexander the 2nd in the center of the Senate Square, marks the start point of the tour. This is the most historical part of Helsinki, and some say the most beautiful - with it's Russian Neoclassic architecture. Here we can see the Helsinki Cathedral, the University of Helsinki, and a great viewpoint of the Senate Square for photos.
Helsinki Cathedral
Following our visit to the Senate Square, our next stop is the White Helsinki Cathedral. Perhaps one of the most impressive buildings in Helsinki, it is also the most visited building. We will allow a little time to visit inside (providing there are no services or weddings), and we will allow time to take photos of this building so you have a souvenir to take home.

Although we were able to see a lot of places, the tour seemed unorganized and it was frustrating. I couldn’t wait for it to be over.

A really good way to start a visit to Helsinki, helped me orientate the city. My guide was enthusiastic and very clear in presenting a host of interesting facts. The following day I visited three locations that my guide had brought to my attention and was very great full as they were all worth a visit. The walk itself was in no way strenuous.

I always do walking tours in a new city and Eero was one of the best guides I have had. He was friendly, engaging, very informative but in a way that made everything very interesting which I appreciated. He encouraged questions and was happy to answer them. We got to see and learn about the city and he gave us great tips for places to eat. I would definitely recommend anyone new to Helsinki to book this tour.

The tour with Alberto in Spanish was excellent. It lasted approximately two and a half hours, filled with history and important facts. The organization of the tour takes you from the past to the present, and you can appreciate all the changes the city has witnessed. We enjoyed it very much and totally recommend it. One of the least enjoyable tours we have done. We did the Spanish tour with Albert, which was excellent. It took approximately two and a half hours, full of interesting stories and history. Great transition of the tour, starting from ancient times all the way to the present. We really enjoyed it and will always recommend it.

Marius was a very good guide with nice energy, knowledgeable, and funny. I took during a 7 hour layover. I had time before to get coffee and karjalanpiirakka. Then after, went to a recommended restaurant for good salmon soup, and reindeer with mash. The tour took us around a fair amount of Helsinki centre, and ended near the railway station which was ideal.
