What To Expect
Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
The first sight on the tour is Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque which is truly a masterpiece of the world architecture. It took 6 years to erect it and in 2001 it was successfully opened. This mosque is a traditional light Islamic building made from sandstone and marble. It has got 5 minarets – one main and 4 side minarets which create a special distinctive look. The internal design is rich in mosaics, huge handmade Persian carpets and chandeliers decorated with crystals.

5.00Muhammed was our guide, it was our first full day in Oman, we had been to a superb New Year's Eve party the night before and he helped make us so happy we chose to visit his country. The Grand Mosque was spectacular, and we learned so much about everything.

5.00Amazing tour with Mohammed! Super chill and relaxed vibe, but still hit all the major Muscat spots. That mosque, absolutely stunning! Went way longer than expected—about 6 hours—so it felt like a full day instead of half (totally a win). Cheers!

5.00Mohammed picked us up at our hotel and from the start we were having fun. He was full of energy, always having a laugh with us and made the tour that much better with his outgoing personality, his knowledge of Muscat and what it has to offer. The mini bus was clean and had airconditioning. Just driving between sights was interesting seeing the architecture with Mohammed giving us all the key information. There were 10 people on our tour which was nice chatting to people from other countries. Intrance fees to the Opera house and the Museum was fair. I would highly recommend this city tour to see the highlights of Muscat. Well worth it.
