Our tour guide will take you on a time travel starting at Al Khor’s harbor, the countrys center for pearl diving & fishing in the old times. Passing through Al Thakira, you will visit the mangroves.

The Zubara Fort – Qatar’s first UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE is well known as an archaeological landscape. Until this day, teams of archaeologists are having on going excavations to develop and maintain its legacy. We then continue tovVisit a traditional Qatari village with houses made of limestone & mud and in while at Al Shamal, you can see Bahrain on clear days.

What To Expect

Al Khor

Also spelled Al Khawr means "sea on threesides" in Arabic. Older than Doha but far smaller in size. Al Khor is located an easy 50 kilometres to the north of Doha. It used to be the center of the pearling industry in Qatar but lost its importance after the introduction of cultured pearls. It now boasts a scenic harbour where you can find traditional fishing dhows, a corniche leading to mangrove colonies and a museum showcasing the fishing, pearling and dhow building industries.

Purple Island - Al Khor Island

A serene island set amidst nature beyond Al Khor is the Purple Island abundant of mangroves and lush greenery. This island brings you an opportunity to reconnect with nature away from the hustle-bustle of the city. I had a wonderful tour in the north of Qatar! Our driver MR. Rihat was incredibly friendly, professional, and showed impressive driving skills throughout the trip. He made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time, which is why I highly recommend this experience for both families and friends. It was also amazing to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site in the area — a truly beautiful and meaningful place to see while in Qatar. Overall, a fantastic tour and definitely worth doing!

North of the Qatar is amazing. Our tour with khan he is such nice and professional guide. In the north all tourists spots are amazing. A very old history of all the archaeological sites and the purple island is amazing. Yes overall the experience is amazing.

Wonderful Experience with Rehan in North Qatar I had a great time touring North Qatar with our guide, Rehan. He was friendly, professional, and really knew the history and culture of the area. He took us to some amazing spots like Al Zubarah Fort, old villages, and beautiful coastlines explained everything in an interesting and easy-to-understand way. Rehan was also very patient and made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable. He even showed us a few hidden places we wouldn't have found on our own!
Great to tour, if you want to see more of Qatar except only Doha

Great variety - mangrove forest, desert mountains, village near the Persian Gulf, fortress and of course lovely city of camels :) Abdullah was a great tour guide and driver in one person, very attentive to details and easy to talk with, with a lot of knowledge.
