We had the most amazing day traveling to the mangroves, eating lunch, trying new food and drink and taking photos, all on the Mangrove Tunnel Culture Tour with Daniel of . I thought it would be a boring ride to the East End but Daniel made it enjoyable, stopping along the way at scenic outlooks, at a bakery road stand for pineapple cookies, a sugar cane stand and others. We talked and talked until we got to the east end where we took a private boat to the mangroves.Very cool, not like a Disney ride at all. Later we ate at a yummy fish restaurant (my choice for food, about $15-20 per plate) and did more sightseeing on the way back. We requested to go to a particular dive resort that I wanted to see, instead of going shopping, and all the while he kept an eye on the time. And then we were all tuckered out and realized 5 hours had passed. This tour was a go-at-your-own pace and Daniel will get you back. Thank you Roatan 5 Stars

My girlfriend and I were fortunate enough to spend TWO afternoons with Louis Diaz, our WONDERFUL guide and driver. We did the Oak Ridge (Venice of Roatan) tour which included visiting the village of Punta Gorda, also. In Oak Ridge we took a boat trip through the red mangrove tunnels with Captain Alex, who was so friendly and funny. In Punta Gorda we visited the Garifuna Cultural Center and learned so much about the culture of the folks who live in Punta Gorda - where they came from, their customs and the herbs they use to cure many sicknesses. It was fascinating and so well done! The next day Louis took us to a Rescue Center for Monkeys, Sloths and Macaws, which also contained a beautiful butterfly garden. Our guide through the rescue center was excellent and explained the habitats and habits of the various rescue animals and birds and butterflies. We also visited the Chocolate Factory and made many stops for excellent photo opportunities. Louis was so patient - never tried to hurry us along and was extremely knowledgeable about and proud of his beautiful island. An EXCELLENT guide!

I felt in love with Roatan thanks to the professional, easygoing and enthusiastic tour operator named Josel. I scheduled a refresher diving course thru Roatan Five Stars. He picked me up at my resort and brought me to the diving center. On my way there he made sure , that I felt relaxed and comfortable. After my diving he picked me up and he started narrating about the culture and history of the island while we had lunch. He catered for me with enthusiasm and kindness every times that I needed to stop for coffee, or going to pharmacy or buying fruits . He took me to Punta Gorda to learn about the culture, history , cuisine and life of the Guarifuna community. In my way there, we stopped at different points , took lot of photos. He literally introduced me to the life of Roatan people with warm, charm and knowledge. He is what you want in a tour operator. Planning to return to Roatan and definitely, I will request his service!!! Highly recommended Roatan Five Starts.

My husband and I had a great time on this tour. We learned so much about the Garifuna culture and got to see and take pictures at different points along the island. Our guide Wilson was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and easy to chat with. I own a travel business. I enjoyed the tour so much I am looking at rebooking with Roatan Five Stars for a group I am hosting in Roatan later in 2022.
