It was a really strange tour. First, we got a refund, so to be fair, at least we got some money back. However, we took this tour to "get to know Valletta" as we are a group of eight friends, first-time visitors here. At the end, we hadn't got any idea about Valletta and Malta's tradition, culture, food, beverages... We only got some historical facts. - The 3-hour tour took only one and a half hours (we got a refund for that) - The start point wasn't communicated to be the same to the guide and to us - So we waited to start the tour for 10 extra minutes. The guide had to come to the start point. - We visited a few stops fewer than the itinerary shows - A guide gave us some historical facts, but nothing lively and really inspiring (he never told us about the Maltese balcony and similar) - There was no 2-way communication with the guide. None of us has ever had this kind of experience. It was so strange that we took a time to discuss what had happened as our tour ended at 16.40 instead of 18.10 (for the late start). And at the end of the tour, we hadn't got any good tips about food, restaurants, or any interesting things to visit. A very unusual walking tour, with very limited information for tourists.

Our family of eight had an excellent private tour with Mariella. Mariella is a fabulous guide! She was thoughtful, professional and catered to the needs of our group. Highly recommend!

Irresponsible operator, do not book!!! Basically the guide stood us up and do not listen to our call. We waited at the meet up point for 30 minutes +.

Poor service & tour. We were offered 3 & 4 hour tours on a Sunday at €135 or €180, the fourth hour was stated as a guided tour of St John's, and we paid for four. Our guide arrived 1/2 hour late, out of breath, informing us that St John's is closed to tours on Sunday and asked why we booked for 4 hours. We were offered a refund for the 4th hour and accepted only receiving €25 of the €45 difference for the fourth hour. Sadly, our guide also seemed quite ill and had trouble speaking and was frequently out of breath. It was not Chris who was mentioned in other reviews. Our guide had trouble walking the ups and downs of Malta and we (both over 65) were left constantly waiting and frequently stopping. We learnt more reading museum plaques than from explanations. We wrote to Chris, who wrote us signing off as 'guide and founder' with our problems and he did not reply. Too much success or lost interest?

We had a wonderful personal tour with Mariella Schembri in Valletta. I would like to express my gratitude for her insightful and honest perspective on Malta’s history and its transformation over time. Mariella's deep knowledge and openness truly made us fall in love with this beautiful island and its capital. During our tour, we visited Valletta’s most important landmarks, including St. John's Co-Cathedral and its stunning Caravaggio paintings. We also greatly appreciated Mariella’s recommendations on must-see destinations for the rest of our trip, as well as her helpful advice on how to get there. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an enriching and memorable experience in Valletta!

We took 2 trips with MyDreamMalta ..this one, Valletta private walking tour (3 hours) as well as a similar tour of Mdina/Rabat (2 hours). Both tours were really excellent. There were 4 of us on the tour and although such private tours are not cheap these were great value because of the quality of the tour guides. Carmen took us around Valletta and she made our day. Kind, friendly, knowlegeable and so informative. No question was too much and she tailored the tour to our needs. Full marks.
