A must-visit during a stay in Thessaloniki, in the heart of the Macedonian Empire and near-legendary figures of Philip 2 and his son Alexander 3 called the Great. The meeting place from the city is easily identifiable and the means of transport is safe and comfortable. The guide is most often a true specialist of the time, and in English it offers enriching and accessible information. Access to the various sites and museum is autonomous and subject to an additional fee (40 euros). Possibility of restoration in a canteen without soul. Duration: 6 good hours

Enjoyable day out with a knowledgeable guide who provided considerable commentary on the history of Macedonia, the dynasties, Phillip the Second and Alexander the Great. Handy meeting location in Thessaloniki and the sites and museums in Pella and Vergine were worth visiting.
