If you want to go up the river Faaroa, kayak it without hesitation. Superb walk in nature with a guide at the top, passionate and very kind. Mauruuru roa James for this experience and for the exchanges we had. Good luck to you and the whole "Raiatea Kayak" team. Curious, do not abstain. Book now! The instructor and the French teacher.

A superb morning with James and his wife, Polynesians committed to sharing their culture with heart and simplicity. Small relaxing break with a tasting of coconut water prepared before our eyes and a quick braiding course a friendly moment of sharing very appreciated by the whole family!

We enjoyed this kayak ride along a placid river surrounded by jungle. James gave us a lot of good information about many things and his wife wove a basket for us. The kayak was especially nice because the seats had backs unlike many others we saw.

It was a great time with our amazing guide, who explained the flora and fauna around the river. We were able to move at our own pace, accompanied by beautiful anecdotes. Mauruuru for this wonderful moment!

An enchanted break on the Ra’iātea River – authenticity, calm and generosity During our stay in Polynesia, we had the pleasure to live a private kayaking trip with Ra’iātea Kayak, an experience that will remain etched in our memories. Accompanied by Patrick, a guide of rare generosity, we explored the only navigable river in all of Polynesia, a place imbued with calm and serenity, far from the noisy engines and the hustle and bustle of classic tourist circuits. The silence was disturbed only by the birdsong and the gentle lapping of our paddle — a real soothing nature bath. Patrick was passionate and exciting, sharing his knowledge of the surrounding flora and fauna with accuracy and enthusiasm. His ability to transmit his love for this land makes the experience deeply human. Halfway through, we had the pleasure of enjoying a fresh coconut, opened by hand with a smile and simplicity. And as if that wasn’t enough, Patrick gave us a beautiful hat braided with his hands, a touching gesture, reflecting genuine generosity and a sincere Welcoming. This kayak ride on the sacred river of Ra’iātea is much more than an activity: it is a real encounter, a suspended moment where you feel connected to nature and people. A huge mauruuru to Ra’iātea Kayak and Patrick for this magical break. To recommend without hesitation to all those who seek to discover Polynesia otherwise, away from the crowds, in respect and beauty of the living.

Having booked 2 days before, no one showed up on the D-day:( I had to call, and finally they came 1 hour late. But I got a ride with a private guide who taught me a lot about the fauna, flora and life of the inhabitants of Raiatea. So I was not disappointed with the experience, even if it only lasted 2 hours instead of the 3 announced.
