  Our last night in Aruba turned into one of the most memorable moments of our trip at Bodega Papiamento Distillery. The atmosphere was warm and authentic, and we were welcomed like family. Frederico was absolutely amazing and made the experience so special. Such a perfect way to spend our final evening in Aruba. We will definitely be back!

  Excellent Rum, cool decor and vibe, great service! Nice variety of rums, did a tasting, they explained the difference between each of them. Very service oriented, taking a couple bottles back to the states. 15 year was so smooth!

  We researched all the distilleries on Aruba before arriving. We ended up coming back to this fantastic location 3 days in a row. The staff were awesome and great to talk with. We learned a lot about the distillery and the people we had the pleasure to talk with while we enjoyed all the fantastic cocktails. We enjoyed the Tamarind Twist and the Old Fashioned. We love Aruban Rum and Bodegas Papiamento makes a great rum. We ate there twice, the smash burger was excellent and the Tuna Poke was also excellent. Their serving sizes are large and their prices are extremely fair especially for the serving sizes. We will definitely be purchasing some rum when we get home and missing the time relaxing at the bar and having great conversations with the staff. Take the few extra steps down the way to find this gem and experience good drink, good food and great company!

  Really like the vibe and what’s happening at Bodegas in Oranjestad. Build around an old ice business with an attached Airbnb. A great drinking vibe, with cigar bar next door. The bar staff is amazing try the rum old fashioned. The food truck serves up some amazing smash burgers, bowls and appetizers.

  What an experience at Bodegas Papiamento! The tasting was great, but especially their storytelling makes it really special, everything is right and feels put together with care. As icing on the cake we also got chocolate with the tasting. Small touch, big effect. Definitely recommended, this is really a to-do. I will definitely come back!

  Andres was wonderful, courteous and knowledgeable about bourbon and relaying the history of Papiamento history. We loved hearing about where it began and what plans they have for the future. I would highly recommend a visit. We are looking forward to the hotel they plan to open next year for a repeat visit.

The Distillery Experience Bodegas Papiamento is a magical place where you can see the full process of how their rum is made — from copper stills to the final bottle. The distillery itself breathes good energy. You can feel the craftsmanship and passion behind every detail. From the bar, you can watch the distilling process through the glass wall — it’s fascinating to see how each bottle comes to life while you sip a cocktail or enjoy something delicious. It’s not just a visit; it’s an experience that engages all your senses. There’s also a cozy lounge designed like giant rum barrels where you can sit, relax, and enjoy a drink or a cigar. It feels like being inside the spirit of the island itself — warm, welcoming, and full of character. The Blue House — Their Private Guest Home for Rent We also had the chance to stay at Franz’s beautiful guest house, located right next to the distillery. It’s available for rent and it’s truly a hidden oasis in Aruba.   This experience was informative. Everyone was very friendly. They even allowed us to enter prior to opening, so we would not have to stand outside.. The only thing I did not like was the area to purchase certain items did not open until 1:00 but our tour was at 11:00 I would have loved to been able to purchase some cigars.   We celebrated my husband's birthday over the weekend, and everything was spectacular. The servers and staff provided the best service to our guests, and everyone was very happy.
