Rita is fantastic, she is a very passionate third generation lemon farmer. She gave us a very enjoyable and authentic experience. We honestly had no idea the work that went into growing lemon s. It was a lovely morning with Rita.

This was a wonderful experience, so pleased we went to the lemon farm. It is a Horticultural education. We never realised the knowledge and passion through generations that produces 'Sorento Lemons'. You must must go see this for yourselves. we arrived as visitors and came away as friends.

This experience was great! My friend and I learned a lot about the lemon making process from Rita from start to finish. I never would've thought about all the work that goes into it, nor all of the different things that could be made. I love how it is a family business. Communication with the host was excellent as well throughout the process. You also get to see beautiful views and get a taste of some of the products made with the lemons.

I, along with my four girlfriends, went on the “Discovery Tour of Sorrento Lemon in Massa Lubrense” and were VERY happy we booked the experience as it was incredibly interesting. Rita spent time giving us the history which you would expect from a tour, but her passion for her work made it extra special. After we walked through the entire tour, gaining an incredible amount of knowledge, Rita brought us to a spot that over looked the sea and demonstrated the actual steps that she takes to grow the trees. You could tell she loves sharing her life’s work with others and that is what made it such a memorable tour! Rita is a GEM and we highly recommend her tour. She made our experience personal and she genuinely wanted us to feel at home on her family farm of many generations. Rita’s limoncello 🍋was the best of all the places we tested and there were a lot of places.

Out of all the lemon tour providers, Rita offers the most complete experience! With lots of personal attention, a very extensive tour covering all the ins and outs—not just about lemons, but about various citrus fruits. The tour takes place in an authentic orchard, home to even the oldest lemon tree (82 years old!), a truly unique piece of land in the Sorrento area. After booking via WhatsApp, there was personal contact to coordinate the exact meeting point. Rita speaks clear, calm, and understandable English and takes great care to arrange everything down to the smallest detail. Upon arrival at the spacious and well-kept lemon farm, we were welcomed with a delicious homemade lemonade and slices of pure lemon (with sugar) to taste. It was fascinating to see the entire process from seed to fruit. Rita doesn’t just tell the story—she shows everything in detail. She even shares a few secrets about the fruits and offers plenty of interesting facts about this unique method of cultivation. She demonstrates the difference between male and female trees, explains their specific purposes, and shows how a single tree can grow three different types of citrus fruits. It’s wonderful to witness her passion for this traditional way of farming. The farm also offers stunning views over the Italian coastline—the various islands off the coast and even Naples can be seen. After such a tour, it’s time to treat your taste buds: tasting the well-known, delicious orange and lemon marmalade, freshly pressed olive oil, limoncello, and limoncello cream. Absolutely delicious! We recommend this tour to anyone who values custom experiences, personal contact, and taking time to slow down and truly connect with nature.

So glad we booked this Lemon Tour! I loved that it is a family farm that uses the traditional practices. The farm was so quiet and peaceful - so nice after a long day of travel. Her limoncello is absolutely worth purchasing - was not expensive and is better than what you would get at the tourist shops.

What a wonderful experience! We visited Rita as part of a Joe Banana’s tour and it was well-worth the stop! This was not a typical tourist stop, thankfully, but the most charming lemon grove in Massa Lubrense. Rita greeted us with fresh lemonade on a very hot day, and provided us a tour of the various ages of lemon trees, the olives, figs, and citrus on her farm. Her farm overlooks the coast and here, she and her husband showed us the labor of love and time in grafting the special Sorrento lemons. As part of our tour day, Rita and her husband made a delicious lunch for us, featuring the delicate lemon flavors from her farm, including the best plums we have had in our lives, the most amazing lemon marmalade. They even toasted our time together with their own limoncellos and traditional Italian mantras. We were able to purchase some to take home with us: two varieties of limoncello, the orange and lemon marmalade we sampled at lunch, and olive oil from her trees. Our hearts were filled with meeting these two lovely humans and we will never forget our time there. Bravo and buona fortuna to Rita and her family!
