Certified diver trips begin with an introduction to our facility and team, followed by a dive briefing covering all aspects of the trip. After the dive briefing we board the boat, and elaborate on specific points regarding equipment for divers using our rental equipment, before a short boat ride to the dive site. The boat ride is an experience in itself, with so much to see from the water, giving you another viewpoint to admire this beautiful Island. Upon arrival at the first dive site, divers kit up, and complete a pre-dive safety check, before entering the water. The cylinder type is aluminum S80 (11.2 litre) with a starting pressure of 3000 Psi (207 Bar); dive times are set at one hour, or a minimum end/surface pressure of 500 Psi (35 Bar). A divemaster, with extensive knowledge of the local underwater realm, guides all dives, and they will show you the beautiful marine life that Antigua has to offer. Take note, we have a strict no-touch, no-take, no-feeding policy. *Important* we require all certified divers who have not been diving for a period of two years or more to complete a refresher dive before joining our certified diver trips. We did our Open Water Course and three additional two-tank dives. DiveCarib was a perfect fit for us. Laid back but strictly professional. Mona was an amazing instructor and left us confident in our newly learnt skills. All of the dives were great - lots of inspirational scenery and a wide array of aquatic life. We especially liked the eco-focused discipline the guides instilled - the underwater ecosystems are fragile and we need to protect their beauty. The boat crew were amazing! Friendly, fun, and very professional. Thank you guys! We are hooked on scuba, and are planning to dive again as soon as we can! I highly recommend DiveCarib, and look forward to diving with them in the future.

I had dived with Dive Carib on previous visits to Antigua and had been very satisfied with everything about the diving. This time, however, was not good. Leigh was very proud of his new dive RIB and indeed it was well kitted out for up to 8 divers plus 2. I had booked a 2 dive trip. Dive 1 was out in open water and the sea was rough. I have my own boat for costal fishing in the west coast of Scotland and I am used to rough seas but this day would be beyond my limit. After the dive we passed all the gear to the boatman who hauled it in then up the ladder that was positioned directly adjacent to the engines block so you either had to pirouette on the top rung round the block or role round on your side and flop into the boat - all in very rough seas. This is not a good design feature. I was reluctant to go on the second dive due to the sea condition but was assured it would be much calmer seas. The dive site was indeed in a sheltered spot in shallow water close to the shoreline. I had buddied up with another solo diver and there were 4 other divers in a group. Once in the water it was clear that visibility was not good plus there was a strong swell as predicted by Leigh. Once we set off with Leigh in the lead he quickly started to vanish into the murk but we could follow the other divers. Eventually we lost sight of all the others when they went round behind some boulders and they were not to be seen . My buddy gave it 5 minutes of looking then we surfaced very close to the cliff face and no sign of the others (The lead did not have an SMB). Leigh surfaced a few minutes later about 10m from us and we re-joined the group to continue the dive but I guess Leigh realised the visibility was too poor and we headed back to the boat line. Leigh had estimated the dive could have been 60 minutes but it was cut to just over 40min. Once back in the boat Leigh looked at me and said "You have to keep the pace". I was amazed at this. I said nothing. In all my diving over 40 plus years I have never heard a dive leader say to anyone that they "have to keep the pace". It is the responsibility of the dive leader to keep tabs on all the divers in the group and have regular eye contact with them to ensure the group stays together - especially in conditions of poor visibility. So between going out in poor sea conditions to loosing diver contact this was not a good experience.

My wife and myself visited Antigua while on a cruise and booked with Divecarib having never dived before, the dive centre was a 40min taxi ride from St John’s cruise port to English harbour town and cost $100 including return, although I found out later there are buses which do this route for about $2. Our dive instructor was Louis, and he patiently explained each piece of equipment, how to use it and went through some basic skills we would need to know when we got into the water, which instilled confidence. We then had a 10min boat ride to the dive site and once there Louis took us one by one to go through the skills and ensure we were ok and confident to continue with the dive, we then followed Louis on our dive to a depth of around 6meter for about 45 minutes where there was lots of marine life to see, there was another young lady diving with us and all three of us soon got the hang of it and absolutely enjoyed every minute. When the dive was over it was back on board the boat which was slightly challenging because the dive bottles are heavy, but the crew were on hand to help and get us safely back on board. Louis was then only too happy to have a few photo’s taken with our group. All in all a very enjoyable experience with competent qualified people which I would highly recommend,

Had 4 dives over the course of 2 days with Louis, Leigh and Mona, they were all very knowledgeable and so helpful. The briefings were thorough and succinct, covering everything you’d expect from a professional dive company. The dives themselves were great, saw loads of life; octopus, lobsters, nurse sharks and a vast array of fish and crustacean life. I can highly recommend DiveCarib, thanks for the memories guys ❤️👍

We had a great 7 dives with Louis, Leigh, Burton and Mona! Communication to set up the dives was easy, we were able to store our gear at the dive shop for the length of the dive trip and everything was safely put away and then loaded to the boat prior to our arrival. The dive shop/check in is at the same location as the dock with the boat. The dive sites were fantastic and we saw so many species of shrimp, crab, fish, eels, and even a few octopus! At the dive shop they take care of some island cats that we really loved to greet every morning. We stayed in Falmouth/English Harbor and walked to and from the dive shop. We would dive with them again any time we come back to Antigua! Highly recommend!

Myself and my wife needed a refresher as it had been a long time since we had been diving. I researched the different schools on the island and DiveCarib stood out. I enquired initially by email, and they answered all my questions, really in depth and patiently. There was no pressure to commit and gave me all the information I asked for a more. Very comprehensive communication. Once booked they stayed in touch via WhatsApp and made sure everything was still good. On the day the briefings were excellent, very chilled but focused. They had our safety fully in mind. All kit was issued and well taken care off. We had a total of 4 refresher dives and then came back for an extra 2 dives and got to experience swimming with sharks. An absolutely great experience and great staff, who clearly love what they do. The approach by Leigh, Louis and Mona was absolutely spot on. Excellent value for money and we will definitely return. Whether you are an absolute beginner or more experienced they will cater for your every needs. Very experienced staff, with the added bonus of being really nice as well! They are totally professional, and really approachable. Cannot recommend them high enough.

Had a great two tank dive. Louis and the crew couldn’t have been better. We dove with barracudas, schools of sergeant majors and blue tangs. Stoplight fish and lion fish. We even had a sea turtle visit. On the second dive we picked up some extra dive buddies. They stayed with us the whole dive. One of the reef sharks was distinctive in that he had been hooked at some time and had a droopy lip. Great dive all around.
