The North Korea Experience Hall is an exhibition and experiential space designed to help visitors understand the reality of Korea’s division and daily life in North Korea. It presents the historical background of the Korean War, the process of division, and the continuing confrontation between the two Koreas through various exhibits and materials. Visitors can also join Q&A sessions with North Korean defectors, gaining first-hand insights into everyday life, restrictions on freedom, and human rights issues in the North. Beyond simple displays, the hall uses photos, videos, and models to make North Korean society more accessible, while interactive programs allow visitors to experience the social and personal impacts of division. Above all, the Experience Hall aims not just to satisfy curiosity but to provide a meaningful opportunity for reflection—encouraging empathy for the pain of division and inspiring thoughts on peace and reunification.

5.00Sophia was very friendly helpful. She made it fun and interactive. My favorite part was tunnel 3. And we got some great pictures at the bridge. Low to moderate fitness level required for all the hiking.

5.00My 16yo daughter and I absolutely loved this tour, mainly thanks to our expert tour guide Ace! She kept our small group engaged and informed throughout the various locations in the Paju DMZ. We had also added the Gyeongbokgung Palace tour afterwards and Ace was our private guide to all things Joseon-era. There were so many interesting historical details we would never know had we not had Ace. Highly recommend!!!

5.00We had a wonderful day at the DMZ guided by Won. She was a terrific guide - very knowledgeable and generous with sharing information with us. Paying to do the small group tour was definitely worth it - there were 8 in our group which meant there was lots of time to ask questions and learn throughout the day. The meeting with the North Korean defector was a real highlight of the day, as well as venturing into the 3rd tunnel which was a really tangible experience, and the observation tower to look into North Korea through binoculars was very memorable too. Highly recommend this tour
