95% of the time we see dolphin during our cruise. The more time you spend on the water the higher chance you will have of seeing wildlife. Captain specializes in encouraging the Dolphin to jump behind the boat. This is not a guarantee to see wild dolphin. All of our tours are semiprivate to private group charters. Awesome location.

What To Expect

Shell Key is an 1,800-acre wildlife preserve only accessible by water. Guests can expect to see wild life at shell key. Birds, hermit crab, horseshoe crab, sand-dollars, sometimes fish, and lots of shells. Snorkeling will maximize the experience. Yes the occasional dolphin and manatee are known to swim by as well. Weather conditions play a huge roll in snorkeling conditions.

Captain John was amazing! My friend and I ended up taking the tour on a colder day so we didn’t see that many dolphin but we did still enjoy collecting shells at shell key! I recommend this tour 100%. Will do again when I visit St Pete.

Captain John fit us in last minute,and it was suppose to storm. Against his better judgment,he took us out on our 3 hour tour and made it an amazing and memorable trip!! He was very down to earth,friendly and knowledgeable about the area and driving a boat. We saw 2 manatees,dolphins jumping in the waves from the motor and at the island for seashelling,we saw 2 blue crabs and a brown crab. I would definitely recommend using charter finders for a future boat adventure!! And we will be using them again also!!

In June 2025, my wife, daughter and I booked a snorkeling/dolphin cruise with this company. For $234.96. We showed up early and sat at a dock at a marina. We were the only ones there. Our departure time came and went. We called the number on this page and got someone’s generic voicemail. Approximately a half hour past our meeting time, we got a call back that our trip had been cancelled. They claimed they tried to call us the day before but none of us received a call. We were told that our trip would be refunded but that never happened. I disputed the charge to my credit card and they provided some type of “proof” that our trip actually did happen. Thankfully my credit card company reversed their decision that I was responsible for this charge. Not only were we stood up, they lied and claimed that services were provided. If you choose to go with this company, I hope the same does not happen to you! You’ve been warned.

Captain Tim was an excellent captain on the tour. He knew where the dolphins were and he took our kids to the perfect shellfish area. I would highly recommend the tour.

We had the best time. Our captain, Hunter, was very knowledgeable about the area and made sure to find dolphins for us to see. We had a blast finding shells, sand dollars, and snorkeling. Hunter even had ice cold water on the boat for us. Definitely would do it again.

Made a booking according to a calendar on the app. Turned up to be told we were rebooked to a later slot. Which did not suit is. Not sure if it’s the provider or the app’s issue.

Captain Gram was great ! We did the cruise to the sandbar and back. Would do it again . Only thing we would recommend is the boat really needs some updated speakers, people like listening to music and the speakers are real bad. Otherwise everything was great .
