This private tour is made in total comfort aboard a minibus, always accompanied by an expert guide who will share interesting facts and insights about the region throughout the day.
Departure is at 08:00 AM from your hotel or accomodation heading towards the Douro Valley through landscapes marked by terraced vineyards and the winding Douro River.
The first experience of the day will be a visit to Quinta de S. Luiz (or similar), a historic wine estate connected to Douro wine production. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about the estate’s history, the region’s winemaking traditions, and production methods.
Next, you will enjoy a boat trip on the Douro River, where you can relax while admiring the unique scenery from the water, surrounded by vineyards and traditional wine estates.
On the way back, there will be a stop at the São Cristóvão do Douro Viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic views over the valley and take photos of this iconic landscape.

5.00Guide Cuber and driver Maykel were just fabulous. They made the whole trip so fun. Obviously the sites were amazingly stunning. Cuber's telling of the history along the way was also very enlightening. Recommend this tour highly!!!

5.00We had such a fun time on our tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide and bus driver. Cuber was so attentive. We brought our baby on the tour and he was great about checking in and making sure the music on the bus wasn’t too loud. Cuber was very entertaining and even sang to us in Portuguese. He went above and beyond. I’m so happy he was our guide. Joe was a great driver and we felt safe in his hands. Cuber and Joe deserve a raise.

5.00I went on the half day trip to the Kopke Port tasting, boat tour on the river in the douro valley and as last the viewing point over the whole valley. Our driver Novais was really great, they played a theme song (space mountain song and pirates of the Caribbean) whenever there was a challenge for him (driving wise). Also our tour guide Pedro Costa made the tour feel like it was a family trip. He is very careful and he always makes sure you are alright. His tips for which wines to buy are a very good bonus! They are a good duo and our day was amazing. 5 stars!
