My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the walking food tour in downtown Roanoke. Our tour guide, Bill, was very personable and easily held our attention as we walked the city. His knowledge of the area helped us to learn interesting facts about Roanoke; we highly recommend taking this tour. The food stops were a nice variety of different styles, offering a small taste of one menu item that allowed us to "graze" as we covered the three-hour walking tour.

What a GREAT experience! Ned was our guide and he was so fun and informative. Many in our group are from Roanoke and still learned a lot of the history. The foods we sampled at Hotel Roanoke, Billy's, Stock, Texas Tavern and Chocolate Paper were excellent. We finished the tour with a visit view of the city from the City in The Square Arts and Culture building. The walk is casual and gives one a great perspective of the downtown Roanoke area. PERFECT DAY!

If you’ve been considering this tour, stop hesitating, book, and go! And if you’re very lucky you will have Ned for your tour guide. I moved to Roanoke in May and this education and experience was exactly what I needed for myself, family, and friends when they visit. Would gladly take visiting friends on the tour in a couple of weeks, but sadly, no vacancy. So, I repeat, if you can get a reservation GO! You will love it.

We stayed at the Black Lantern B&B, and this was an excellent choice. The hosts were very accommodating, the bedroom was very appealing, and breakfast was wonderful. Our daughter had her wedding reception at the Golden Cactus Brewery, and this venue was awesome. The craft beers were excellent, and the staff were all very helpful. Everyone had a great time while visiting the Golden Cactus Brewery.
