What a fantastic tour company! Our guide, Rob, was the best. We encountered snowfall and Rob drove like a pro, keeping us safe and secure. Because the drive through the snow took longer, Rob extended his shift by two hours to make sure our group had plenty of time to spend at the sites. He also gave us great information on the various areas and shared his very interesting insights on what it was like having lived under communist rule. I highly recommend Bohemian Adventures.

Misu guided us perfectly through the pristine Saxon Switzerland highlights including the majestic Bastei Bridge area followed by some authentic German food and beer. We finished our tour with a personal guide around the city of Dresden hearing about how it has been rebuilt from the ashes of WWII to some degree of its past glory. Seamless shuttles from Prague hotel and back. Definitely a day well spent.

Our day trip to Dresden also included a visit to the Christmas market. This proved to be a fallacy, as half the city center is a Christmas market. The largest is the Christmas market at Neumarkt, several smaller ones are still available at Frauenkirche, Münzgasse, Goldenen Reiter and Stall Hof. You have plenty of choice. There are numerous stalls also with crafts and various Christmas items. If you can handle the crowds you are welcome to visit these markets. What we found was that the prices are sometimes higher than in other places, including at the bratwurst and drink stands. Apparently, people are already aware of the special role in this city and are turning it into a reality at face value. Nevertheless, it was a nice day, there are also many shops and museums which can be visited here. It doesn't get boring here. Conclusion: A trip to Dresden is always worthwhile. There are many cultural opportunities. The Christmas markets are also worth a visit. Here you can taste many regional and supraregional specialties and buy beautiful Christmas decorations

first of all, let me say, Alex, our tour guide, was really a nice person. he was prompt, paid attention to the schedule, and got us where we needed to be. As for my rating, there were a couple things. I’ve been on many tours, as I like to travel a bunch. Usually the tour guide tells you about the places as you drive by them ….interesting things that have happened in these locations And other historical information. This was not the case. I feel like he was pretty new. He mentioned a few things about the mountains, and when I ask questions, he answered them. To the best of his ability. The van ride had a lot of dead air time, complete silence. When there wasn’t silence, most of the conversation was in Czech language. He pointed out the obvious …”This is a church. This wall has all of the Saxon kings. This is the gardens.” Things like that. No stories or any type of historical depth. on the tour itself, we had nine separate points of interest that we walk to again no historical depth was given to these places. I found myself looking up information on Google about where I was. to top it all off, at the end of the historical walk around part, he says everybody go do your own thing. We’ll meet back at the van in an hour. I must add that my experience could’ve also been affected based on how cold it was. We were walking around Dresden and at the bastille bridge in temperatures below freezing. ie…20°. So I might be a little harsh in my judgment. Was not a fun time. Secondly, I booked an English speaking tour. Alex is a native check speaker. We also had two other native check speakers on the tour. One of them spoke English the other did not. Now on five with five hours in the van, I would say most of the conversation was held in check language. So the other five of us could not understand what was going on or jump in and take part in these conversations. Very uncomfortable. I feel like, to make it a better experience, He should have translated what she was asking, so the rest of us could at least follow along with what’s going on. By speaking in a foreign language for most of the 5 hours in the van, on an English speaking tour, we all feel pretty left out and like we were missing some important information. To conclude, first, I will take this tour in the summer ….second, I would want a guide, who shared their knowledge, and did deep dives into the historical aspects of our tour from start to finish. Tell me about the buildings in Prague as we leave town. Tell me about what happened in the countryside. First world war or second world war was anything interesting? Tell me about the medieval villages on the outskirts… Border dispute, anything ….but get my interest with some stories or something.

Vladimir, our guide/driver, drove us from Prague to the Bastei Bridge in Germany, Sonnestein Castle and lunch on Pirna (lunch was fantasiic), then to a few hour tour in Dresden. Vladimir is a young, fun, goofy in the best way Slovak guide that is well traveled. Being also a traveler, he guides as hed wanted to be guided. Jokes, tells fun stories, very flexible with the tour, and shows what many other guides woukd not. I cant stress enough how much we recommend this trip. If youre reading this, thanks again brothah, I'll be watching 2 of the suggested movies on our ride today to Vienna.

Vladimir was AWESOME! He was knowledgeable and truly seemed to know the areas very well. He was very flexible with the different needs and preferences of the group. There were 8 of us in the group but it felt intimate and like a private tour. He had a wonderful dry sense of humor which matched our personalities well. My husband and him were chit-chatting the whole time. Our day with Vladimir today felt like we were going with a friend who lived in those places. He knew additional cool lookout points and great photo ops. The included lunch was great (although there were some changes due to Christmas closures, everything turned out wonderful!). Remember to bring euro coins for the bathrooms! We went the day after Christmas. Quite cold but manageable. Christmas markets were closed by that point, which was fine as there was plenty else to see. We got to the bridge early enough so we pretty much had it to ourselves! 10 out of 10 would recommend!
