  You need a golfcart to get around the island. There are many companies to choose from. We would have preferred a cart with 4 seats facing forward and they did not mention the need to fill up the tank or pay $10 which should have been included. The carts are fast which is good and little traffic so the left side drive is ok. We were not told by anyone that the one beach that starts with "P" is dangerous wth hidden coral if wavy. I think always bad. Prices seem to be similar so make sure you get cart configuration you want.

  Easy way to be on your own to see around Grand Turk. Check in was easy and quick. As others have mentioned, you can opt to put gas in the cart yourself before you return it, or give them $10. Our cart had no gas gauge at all, so we believed the guy when he said it was full and would be fine all day. It was (although we only kept the cart out about 4 hours). There are several places to get gas, if you opt to do that. It’s fun to be on your own, and there are lots of people driving golf carts. You can find a spot to spend time at the beach, drive up to the lighthouse (it’s pretty underwhelming, but the view of the beach is nice), get something to eat, etc…. Overall, a pretty relaxed day for us. I think we may have been the only ship in port that day, which was really, really nice.

  It was great being able to drive around the island and see the attractions on our own and to be able to stay at each spot as long as we wanted. I do have to complain about the cart itself, although it ran fine, it was old and worn. The real issue was the lights did not work - no driving lights, no turn signals. When I told the worker when we dropped it off, he just smirked, not what I expected.

  Easy walk to the rental area - Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful representative there to get us going - we got a map, ideas of where to go, and reliable contact info if needed (it wasn’t needed!) Great experience overall and we will rent from them again when we return!

  Easy and Fantastic experience. We were initial conscious given the number of companies offering Golf Cart Rentals in Grand Turk, but have zero concerns using Drive GDT again. Drive GDT are right outside the cruise terminal making it easy to find with a 2 minute walk maximum! The person gave us a map of the island and the key places to visit - Governors Beach is a must! You have the cart all day, which makes it great value - especially compared to a pre-arrange ship excursion. When you return you can have fill it up with $10 of fuel or give it back with $10 - we opted for give returning it with $10 for ease! If you are heading to Grand Turk and want to do something different then this a must and enjoyable day - plus it’s easy!

  This was a fun way to see the island. The location was easy to find and driving on the left was easier than expected. We drove to the lighthouse, shops, lunch and beach using the map provided.

  Parking brake did not work, but fortunately Turks and Caicos is so flat that we didn’t need it. Carts are old and noisie.
