A magical trip to Ireland !

5.00We are so glad we decided on Paul (Setanta Tours)and didn’t drive ourselves. Paul was a wealth of knowledge on everything relating to Ireland. History, folklore, current events just amazing conversations as we drove 4 days starting in Dublin, Cork, Killarney and Galway . He found the best places to see and the communication on the front end of the trip and all his suggestions were fantastic. He expertly drove through some tough weather conditions and somehow managed the itinerary so we missed nothing . He is a natural and made us feel like we were traveling with family . He knew the best restaurants, pubs, shopping etc in each city. He was so lovely and professional that we plan of returning and recommending him to all our friends and family. I would 100% use him but next time maybe even longer . His Mercedes was very comfortable with air conditioning/ heating for the back seats that we could customize. Smooth ride and a true joy being with Paul and learning so much about Ireland. He was also always on time!

5.00Paul was amazing! Highly recommend. My husband and I were so glad we chose Setanta tour’s instead of renting a car ourselves. Paul customized the trip with adjustments to weather and was an incredible guide. Again highly recommend!

5.00This was our second tour with Paul and we can't imagine a better driver and tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and can provide great tips on restaurants, music pubs, or whatever interests you. With his knowledge, you also have great flexibility during your tour. If you encounter bad weather that interferes with one site, Paul always has another option for you to experience. He is cheerful, punctual, personable, caring and more. He is just a great guy and we really enjoy riding around with him and learning about Irish history, landmark sites, as well as learning about Irish culture and everyday life in Ireland. I can't recommend Paul highly enough.

5.00You just couldn’t wish for a better driver than Paul. Having him allowed us to relax and truly enjoy our vacation without the stress of driving and navigating unfamiliar roads. Paul was very flexible and always had a suggestion if we needed one. His friendly demeanor and considerable knowledge really enhanced our trip. Don’t hesitate to book with him - you will have a fantastic time!

5.00I can not recommend Paul and setanta tours enough. He checks all of the boxes on what you would expect with a concierge/ luxury tour experience. He’s punctual, cheerful, and makes you feel safe. His communication was always timely, and concise. We exchanged about a dozen emails leading up to the trip, and he was able to coordinate and organize everything! But he goes so far beyond expectations. I think my favorite part about Paul is his ability to put stuff together on the fly. Whether that’s a quick stop at a castle, or putting us on to the local pubs for lunch. He has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of Ireland, and you can tell he truly enjoys his work and is passionate about it— it’s not like he’s repeating the same factoids for the millionth time! I can not say enough great things about Paul. I look forward to booking with him again.

5.00Paul took us all the way around Ireland! He is personable, flexible and cares about his passengers. He picked us up in Dublin and took us to Belfast where we stayed 3 nights. While there he took us to The Titanic Experience, The Dark Hedges, The Rope Bridge at Carrick-a-Rede and Giants Causeway. He guided us to the best place for lunch at Giants Causeway, The Nook. It was too late for a tour but we had a quick stop at Old Bushmills for souvenirs. The Marble Arch Caves were very interesting. Paul’s knowledge of the whole country was amazing as we wound down small country roads. The Sky Road was stunning and very windy! We chose to miss the boat tour at Cliffs of Moher to get ahead of the weather was coming in making the seas rough. Paul got us. Lise and showed the best route to see the cliffs. We literally went all the way around Ireland and Paul traced our route on a map, which he gave us at the end of the trip. We couldn’t be be happier with Paul! Highly recommend him.
Absolutely the best of the best! Will not be disappointed.

5.00Paul was an amazing driver and tour guide. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to take us on our 6 day tour from Dublin, down along the southern coast, part of the west coast, and back to Dublin. Paul was always on time and kept us on schedule. He took us to a sheep dog herding demonstration which was a special treat! He was very knowledgeable about all things Ireland/Irish. Whether you’re looking for a day tour or a week or more, Paul is your guy!

5.00Paul Smith was a superb guide on a 6-day tour of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland in September 2024. He took great care of our group of 3 senior citizens by providing a super comfortable vehicle, recommending excellent restaurants, making stops at places with clean restrooms, pacing each days’ activities appropriately, and assuring that we were safely checked in to our hotels each night. He provided much historical and cultural information about the places we visited. We had a lot of laughs, came away with great photos, and enjoyed memorable experiences. I recommend Setanta Tours with as many stars as there are stars in the sky! Glynda Knighten Poway, California USA
