It was the perfect morning excursion of desert fun. My guide/driver money was so accommodating and kind. It was the perfect balance between camel riding, sand, boarding, sand, driving, and multiple photo opportunities. I had a great time and would recommend.

My friend and I booked this excursion through our hotel and it was AMAZING. So worth the 4:30am pick up from the hotel. It took us about an hour to get to the desert and our private driver Mr Bandari was great at capturing photos of us at sunrise from the perfect vantage point. We then went sandboarding which was so much fun! But you do need an element of fitness to climb back up the steep dune in deep sand. Our driver then did 30 minutes of dune bashing - 4x4 driving at speed through the desert - and let me tell you, we did NOT stop screaming!!! Make sure you have an empty stomach because it's like a 30 minute roller coster ride! We paid extra to have 30 minutes on our own individual quad bikes and a further 30 minutes on our own individual camels through the desert. Again, both of these extras were so much fun. We got back to our hotel on the Palm at around 9:30am so back in time for breakfast. For a private tour, at sunrise (which is more expensive than daytime), with the extras of quad biking and camel riding included, we paid 3000AED total (approx £650) butwe think it was totally worth it for a once in a lifetime time experience. The memories and laughs will stay with us forever. Highly recommend. And Mr Bandari, we hope your hearing has recovered from our screams 😂
