As the sun sets, the Al-Khayma Camp awaits you with a delicious BBQ and other fun-filled activities and when the stars light up the sky, be ready for an amazing star gazing session.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

It is highly recommended that you eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid sickness during the dune bashing.

We highly recommend having international travel insurance, as self-driving activities carry inherent risks that may lead to serious injury. Coverage for such incidents is typically provided only through your personal insurance.

The quad biking segment is solely the participant's responsibility. Any damage, injuries sustained or items lost during the quad tour are not covered by insurance

All desert safari drivers are well trained and licensed for safari drives. The 4WD vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government trackers, GPS, GMS, and a First Aid box

OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury.

Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.

Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter

Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, it is advised not to do it.

The 11:30 AM Timing slot comes with a Lunch buffet, and it doesn't include the Star Gazing & Fire show since it's during the day timing

Pickup will be within 45min prior to your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time.

Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.

During the holy month of Ramadan you can watch only Fire shows in our desert camps

Everything listed in the Inclusions is part of the tour and is covered in the price. Quad biking is available if the option is selected.

By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity. (If these conditions apply to you, you can wait at the meeting point until others complete the adventure activities.)

What To Expect

Pick Up Listen to miraculous humble beginnings of the land of dreams, Dubai, from our friendly safari captains who shall pick you up and keep you entertained for the 60 minutes’ drive in a 4x4 Vehicle across the deserts. Quad Bike Ride (Optional) Welcome to your first stop. Take your time here to relax and prepare yourself for the adventures ahead. The place provides good facilities for fresh-ups and if interested, you may avail the Quad Bike Ride option to zeal up your desert experience. Dune Bashing Pump up your excitement as you bash into the golden dunes of the Lahbab desert and be ready to kick up the dust as you go sand surfing here.

Feel like royalty as you enter the Al-Khyama camp where you shall be greeted with the traditional Qahwa (Arabic Coffee), Gaymat (Exotic sweets), Dates and unlimited soft drinks. The camel ride and posing with the falcon after the falconry session is a sure catch on this trip. Get dressed up in the ethnic Arabian clothes-kandura (men’s clothing), and abaya (Women’s clothing) and spend the evening as an Arab smoking shisha and having an Arabian Makeover with henna painting. Camp Entertainments This attraction guarantees a feast to your eyes and tummies. Open up to a night of entertainment beginning with the Traditional Yola dance, Falconry show & Mega fire show with a simultaneous 5-star open buffet, BBQ and other local desserts. Star Gazing Session Learn all about how the stars guided the Bedouins in the past from the age-old Arabian tales and through a mesmerizing star-gazing session with a telescope.

Nadeem the tour guide is very experienced in driving on the sand dunes, aside from being very attentive to all our needs - enjoyed the ATV ride, took plenty of nice photos of the place We enjoyed the delicious food offered and the fire show, Camel and Stallion horses show. Even had the chance to hold the Falcon with the help of his trainer who also captured a video like a professional. Henna tattoo done by a sweet lady staff which was free was another additional reason why this tour is worth every penny and time spent.

Very pleased with our experience. We were very well taken care of, polite and nice staff and we got to experience a lot. It is a lot of people and quite busy all throughout the experience. We did the ATV as well and thought that was a lot of fun.

This excursion was the highlight of our trip. This is 100% worth the money and time. Definitely book the evening slot to get the night show as well. It was an all day event that included everything you would want. Our driver Zeeshan was so kind and amazing. Very experienced & guided us the entire time. The transportation is included from pickup and drop off to hotel and they were ON TIME! Once picked up you take a drive to the dessert where you can have water and small refreshments and get ready to ATV. The ATV was fun but I wish we picked an excursion that drove to a destination or guided tour. The ATV is an enclosed area where you just ride in circles like go karting but still always fun. It was about a half hour. After ATV there are small shops and refreshments and you can buy things. You then go off to sand bashing which was fun and scary at the same time but our driver had so much experience in this activity we felt secure! Highly recommend taking non drowsy Dramamine if you get sick. I read in prior reviews so I did and I did not get sick which I normally do and can see why. After this you sand surf or sit and take pics in the deserts if you do the 2:30 slot you will get beautiful sun set pics on the desert. Then you head off to the camp which has so many things included for free. Henna. Tea coffee snacks camel riding camel feeding shows shops & a hefty cultural dinner and dessert. Beyond worth the money. This is a must do excursion.

The experience is not at all like that depicted in the overview. The setting for the meal was a far cry from a “Bedouin” setting and very commercial. It is clear that the tour operator capitalized on their very favorable ratings to herd as many people as possible through the event. In fact, our group included a couple for whom the tour would be their third. They also were disappointed and dismayed by the changes although agreed that our guide was very good. Would recommend a smaller operator as the ratings no longer reflect the offering.

Absolutely amazing desert safari experience with our tour guides Roshin! He was friendly, attentive, and made the entire day unforgettable—from the dune bashing to the camel ride and sunset views. The camp was beautiful and so clean and well maintained. The food and chai were delicious. Everyone was so kind. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dubai!

The whole experience was incredible. Driving on the desert, sliding down the dunes. Riding the camels and much more. The food was really good too. It is a must do if you visit Dubai and the people in charge of the experience make it so much better. Awais was so funny and entertaining! A big thank you!
