Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

It is highly recommended that you eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid sickness during the dune bashing.

We highly recommend having international travel insurance, as self-driving activities carry inherent risks that may lead to serious injury. Coverage for such incidents is typically provided only through your personal insurance.

The quad biking segment is solely the participant's responsibility. Any damage, injuries sustained or items lost during the quad tour are not covered by insurance

All desert safari drivers are well trained and licensed for safari drives. The 4WD vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government trackers, GPS, GMS, and a First Aid box

OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury.

Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.

Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter

Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, it is advised not to do it.

The 11:30 AM Timing slot comes with a Lunch buffet, and it doesn't include the Star Gazing & Fire show since it's during the day timing

Pickup will be within 45min prior to your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time.

Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.

During the holy month of Ramadan you can watch only Fire shows in our desert camps

Everything listed in the Inclusions is part of the tour and is covered in the price. Quad biking is available if the option is selected.

Camel Ride: Children below 12 years of age cannot ride alone and must be accompanied by an adult.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept that some activities involve inherent risks and unforeseen incidents, and adequate travel and health insurance is strongly recommended for your safety and financial protection. Recommended Age for Self-Driving Activities: Sandboarding: 12-50 years, Quad Biking: 16–50 years. Animal-related activities (company not responsible for uncontrollable natural behaviour of animals): Camel Ride (Recommended age: 12–50 years) Falcon, Horse Riding.

Helmets & safety gear are highly recommended where applicable, and participation is entirely at your own risk, the company will not be responsible for any accidents, damage, loss, or death from these activities.

By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity. (If these conditions apply to you, you can wait at the meeting point until others complete the adventure activities.)

What To Expect

Pick Up Listen to miraculous humble beginnings of the land of dreams, Dubai, from our friendly safari captains who shall pick you up and keep you entertained for the 60 minutes’ drive in a 4x4 Vehicle across the deserts. Quad Bike Ride (Optional) Welcome to your first stop. Take your time here to relax and prepare yourself for the adventures ahead. The place provides good facilities for fresh-ups and if interested, you may avail the Quad Bike Ride option to zeal up your desert experience. Dune Bashing Pump up your excitement as you bash into the golden dunes of the Lahbab desert and be ready to kick up the dust as you go sand surfing here.

Feel like royalty as you enter the Al-Khyama camp where you shall be greeted with the traditional Qahwa (Arabic Coffee), Gaymat (Exotic sweets), Dates and unlimited soft drinks. The camel ride and posing with the falcon after the falconry session is a sure catch on this trip. Get dressed up in the ethnic Arabian clothes-kandura (men’s clothing), and abaya (Women’s clothing) and spend the evening as an Arab smoking shisha and having an Arabian Makeover with henna painting. Camp Entertainments This attraction guarantees a feast to your eyes and tummies. Open up to a night of entertainment beginning with the Traditional Yola dance, Falconry show & Mega fire show with a simultaneous 5-star open buffet, BBQ and other local desserts. Urgent Formal Complaints Requiring Immediate Action: Threatening, Rude, and Coercive Conduct by Tour Guide

We are writing to formally complain about the activity: Dubai Premium Red Dunes Safari, Camels & 5 BBQ at Al Khayma Camp*, led by the guide Tofeeq Abbas. While the food and camp facilities were good, our overall experience was severely impacted by the guide’s behavior, lack of professionalism, and highly inappropriate conduct. Below are the key issues we experienced: 1. Rude and unfriendly attitude throughout the trip From the beginning, the guide was noticeably impolite and unfriendly. The entire trip felt rushed, and we were constantly urged to move or leave locations quickly, creating a strong sense of pressure rather than enjoyment. We fully understand the importance of keeping the schedule on time; however, this could and should have been communicated in a polite and respectful manner. 2. Poor communication and lack of professional guidance The guide failed to clearly explain what was required at each stop or what guests needed to prepare or bring (such as jackets). When we asked for clarification, his responses were consistently impatient and dismissive. During the ATV activity, my partner’s vehicle repeatedly stalled and broke down, yet no effective assistance or alternative arrangement was provided. During the camel feeding activity, the guide showed little engagement or support, in clear contrast to other guides who actively assisted their guests, resulting in a poorly managed and frustrating experience. 3. Threaten and force behavior regarding reviews The guide’s behavior at the end of the tour was entirely inappropriate and make us extremely uncomfortable. Despite being unfriendly throughout most of the trip, he suddenly became insistent on forcing us to leave a five-star review on Viator immediately. We were originally supposed to be dropped off earlier, he changed the drop-off order and sent us last so he could threaten us on leaving reviews. At the drop-off point, he got out of the car, approached us, and attempted to take our phone in order to submit a review himself. When we clearly stated that we needed time to write an honest review, he ignored this and continued insisting, even saying that he could write the review for us. Overall, despite the good food, this experience did not meet the expectations of a “premium” tour due to the guide’s conduct, poor communication, and serious misconduct. Based on this experience, we will not book any trips with this operator again, nor would we recommend this tour or company to our friends or family. We expect Viator to take this matter seriously and address it appropriately.
