A 4WD in the sandy dunes of the deserts witnessing the sun going down into the depths of the golden sands will give any adventure lover the thrills of a lifetime. As the sun sets, the Al-Khayma Camp awaits you with a delicious BBQ and other fun-filled activities and when the stars light up the sky, be ready for an amazing star gazing session.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

It is highly recommended that you eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid sickness during the dune bashing.

We highly recommend having international travel insurance, as self-driving activities carry inherent risks that may lead to serious injury. Coverage for such incidents is typically provided only through your personal insurance.

The quad biking segment is solely the participant's responsibility. Any damage, injuries sustained or items lost during the quad tour are not covered by insurance

All desert safari drivers are well trained and licensed for safari drives. The 4WD vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government trackers, GPS, GMS, and a First Aid box

OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury.

Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.

Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter

Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, it is advised not to do it.

The 11:30 AM Timing slot comes with a Lunch buffet, and it doesn't include the Star Gazing & Fire show since it's during the day timing

Pickup will be within 45min prior to your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time.

Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.

During the holy month of Ramadan you can watch only Fire shows in our desert camps

Everything listed in the Inclusions is part of the tour and is covered in the price. Quad biking is available if the option is selected.

Camel Ride: Children below 12 years of age cannot ride alone and must be accompanied by an adult.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept that some activities involve inherent risks and unforeseen incidents, and adequate travel and health insurance is strongly recommended for your safety and financial protection. Recommended Age for Self-Driving Activities: Sandboarding: 12-50 years, Quad Biking: 16–50 years. Animal-related activities (company not responsible for uncontrollable natural behaviour of animals): Camel Ride (Recommended age: 12–50 years) Falcon, Horse Riding.

Helmets & safety gear are highly recommended where applicable, and participation is entirely at your own risk, the company will not be responsible for any accidents, damage, loss, or death from these activities.

By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity. (If these conditions apply to you, you can wait at the meeting point until others complete the adventure activities.)

What To Expect

Pick Up Listen to miraculous humble beginnings of the land of dreams, Dubai, from our friendly safari captains who shall pick you up and keep you entertained for the 60 minutes’ drive in a 4x4 Vehicle across the deserts. Quad Bike Ride (Optional) Welcome to your first stop. Take your time here to relax and prepare yourself for the adventures ahead. The place provides good facilities for fresh-ups and if interested, you may avail the Quad Bike Ride option to zeal up your desert experience. Dune Bashing Pump up your excitement as you bash into the golden dunes of the Lahbab desert and be ready to kick up the dust as you go sand surfing here.

Feel like royalty as you enter the Al-Khyama camp where you shall be greeted with the traditional Qahwa (Arabic Coffee), Gaymat (Exotic sweets), Dates and unlimited soft drinks. The camel ride and posing with the falcon after the falconry session is a sure catch on this trip. Get dressed up in the ethnic Arabian clothes-kandura (men’s clothing), and abaya (Women’s clothing) and spend the evening as an Arab smoking shisha and having an Arabian Makeover with henna painting. Camp Entertainments This attraction guarantees a feast to your eyes and tummies. Open up to a night of entertainment beginning with the Traditional Yola dance, Falconry show & Mega fire show with a simultaneous 5-star open buffet, BBQ and other local desserts. Star Gazing Session Learn all about how the stars guided the Bedouins in the past from the age-old Arabian tales and through a mesmerizing star-gazing session with a telescope.

We had a fantastic time on this safari! Our guide, Inaam, was professional, punctual, and handled all the logistics and guiding perfectly. Everything ran smoothly thanks to him. The food at the Al Khayma camp was also high quality and delicious. Highly recommended!

We had been on this trip once before, it was so good we did it again this time with my brother and sister in law, our guide was Saleem Malik the guy made our day, he was so nice and very informative we would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s thinking of doing it….

We booked a desert safari for a group of 6 which included 4 older adults over 70. Our guide and driver was Iqbal who made the entire day so awesome and the experience is so recommended ! He was there before time for pickup with a super clean and comfy car, water and tons of information about Dubai and the desert as well as culture. Thou we had older adults he gave us a fantastic experience of a mild dune bashing which they all and we enjoyed greatly ! Me and my husband highly enjoyed the sandboarding and ATV riding which you should go and is worth the extra money. The camp site is very cool, we enjoyed really great Emirati food, mehendi, chai and all teas, sweets and dates ! Do know that vegetarian options are minimal. Camel riding was an absolute blast - the people there are very helpful as well. Two of the three Shows were mediocre - the fire show is spectacular thou. Do know that the camp has only 1 restroom area and does get really cold at night. Overall a very very memorable experience and our driver Iqbal made it even better. Would highly recommend him !!

It was one of the best experience we had ever had. Our responsible person, Nadeem, was an excellent person. He helped us have an unforgettable experience. Both the falcon photo, Camel Ride, Sandboarding were all amazing. Dune Bashing, was excellent and we had really amazing time. It was more than our expectation and with Nadeem’s help, we had the best experience ever.

Amazing desert safari tour with such cool experiences and delicious food. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our guide, Inamm, was the best. He was very helpful and funny and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We had an amazing time thanks to him!
