Depart Dublin city and enjoy a scenic drive out via the East coast to Dalkey & Killiney aka the beautiful Dublin riviera, home to U2's Bono, The Edge and Irish national treasure Enya. See mansions of 10 million euro's and up! With Dalkey island as a backdrop, we'll hear Viking and Norman invasion local history dating back over 1200 years!
Glendalough Monastic Settlement
Experience the beauty of Wicklow national park as we take an easy guided walk around the monastic ruins of tranquil Glendalough, founded in the 6th century by St Kevin. The valley of the 2 lakes. More active guests can opt in for a further lakeside walk.

5.00We had such a wonderful experience with Eammon! From the moment we booked with him, he helped us with our itinerary for our whole trip, giving us tons of recommendations and ideas. Our tour with him was so much fun. He shared so much knowledge about everything, answered all of our questions, and even had playlists and snacks ready to go! In the afternoon, he tailored some of our stops based on what he found out we were interested in. He even checked in on us throughout the rest of our trip and offered advice whenever we had questions. I absolutely recommend him! You will not be disappointed.

5.00We hired Eamonn for two day trips outside of Dublin (Newgrange/Hill of Tara and Glendalough/Wicklow Mountains) because we wanted an authentic and local experience. From the start, Eamonn impressed us with how quickly he responded to our initial outreach. He sent a proposed itinerary right away and worked closely with us to customize it to our needs, really focusing on making sure we’d get a genuine experience that met all of the interests of our diverse group. Eamonn was personable, easy to work with, and flexible in tailoring the schedule, which other tour providers did not offer. Eamonn also typically offers complimentary video consults to plan experiences. Our group included two individuals in their 20s and two in their 60s, all with very different interests. Eamonn took all that into account and crafted an itinerary that felt authentic and balanced. He’s extremely knowledgeable about Ireland and connected culture and history through memorable experiences such as visiting a farm to hold a baby lamb, shopping for Irish sweaters, and even stopping at a Gaelic football pitch on the side of the road to kick the ball around after lunch. Eamonn also personally secured all entry tickets (including those that only opened up for a short window online), making the trip much easier. Eamonn’s pacing was great: he avoided long stretches in the car by mixing historical sites, scenic vistas, and other activities (including an occasional whiskey tasting) so the day never felt rigid. Everywhere we went, it was clear he’s a local as people knew him and we got great service. His contributions to our trip did not end after the tour either. Eamonn provided excellent recommendations in Dublin such as non-touristy pubs with authentic live music and museums a bit more "off the beaten path". Eamonn even recommended some hilarious Irish TV shows to watch as we wound down at the end of the night. By the end of the trip, Eamonn felt like family. We felt comfortable, safe, and immersed in a genuine Irish experience. We are so excited to see him again and could not recommend him more.

5.00We don’t 2 full days with Eamonn and five starts wouldn’t be enough!! Language, music, scenery, humor, 100% authentic experience ALL fully customized to our time and family!! We learned more than we knew we could and had more fun than we imagined possible!! We are so grateful for our experience in Ireland and our time with Eamonn!!

5.00We had a fabulous day in the Wicklow countryside with Eamonn Hourigan as our expert guide and driver. Eamonn put together a lovely tour for us that showed us around parts of the outskirt of Dublin and then we went all around Wicklow. He is extremely knowledgable and we had great fun visiting ancient sites, waterfalls, an overlook where the tv show Vikings was filmed and a drive through the glorious Sally Gap in the Wicklow mountains. We had lunch at a wonderful local restaurant, the Wicklow Heather in Glendalough. My husband and I always make videos of sites for our grandkids-Eamonn got into the spirit of that with us and told a terrific story about a yew tree and archery as well as pointing out a leprachaun gate--both stories the kids loved. We highly recommend Eamonn-he is full of wonderful information about the countryside. He was very responsive during our initial outreach and booking process as well as reaching out to use prior to tour day. His car was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed the day immensely.

5.00Eamonn is the best tour guide—truly a gem of a human! He made sure we had the absolute best time in Dublin. My husband and I visited Ireland for the first time in November 2024, and we traveled in style—from Dublin city center to the countryside in Kildare—to see the wonderfully trained Irish working sheepdogs. It was incredible to watch Michael work with the border collies at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains. This was a true Irish countryside experience, and one my husband and I would definitely return for. Also, a big thank you to Eamonn for introducing me to Tayto chips. He had a stash in his trunk, which I happily ate for breakfast. And trust me—after a night of good Irish whiskey, those crisps really hit the spot.

5.00We had a wonderful day filled with pure adventure! We enjoyed seeing the countryside and learning about the history of Ireland! The kids enjoyed the sheep herding, an outdoor maze and running around the lakes. Lunch was delicious as well. Thank you for such an enjoyable day!

5.00Eamonn planned an amazing day for my husband and me! He tailored the day to our interests, starting with a visit to K2 Alpaca Farm. We immediately felt like old friends. We left Dublin and were driven along the coast through beautiful towns past lakes with several short stops of interest along the way. Eamonn had arranged for a private tour at Glendalough and made lunch reservations for us. We stopped for some Gaelic sports craic. My husband was pretty good! The private demonstration of sheepherding dogs and drum tutorial at Michael's farm were a perfect end to the day. Eamonn clearly loves what he does and has a wealth of knowledge of Irish history, culture and music. We enjoyed listening to Irish traditional music along the way. And he knows how to tell a story! We look forward to planning another private tour with him! Ellen and Sebastian
