What To Expect

Dunluce Castle

Perched dramatically on a basalt outcrop along the north coast of Antrim, Dunluce Castle was once the seat of the MacDonnell clan and has stood as a striking coastal fortress since the 13th century. With a rich history shaped by Viking, medieval, and later influences, the castle remains one of the most iconic landmarks on the Antrim Coast. Its rugged setting overlooking the North Atlantic has made it famous not only in Irish history but also in popular culture, featuring in Game of Thrones as Pyke and inspiring C.S. Lewis in The Chronicles of Narnia. Please note: this is a photo stop only. There is no entry to the castle included, but there will be time to take photos and enjoy the views.

Giant's Causeway

Discover one of Ireland’s most unforgettable natural wonders at the breathtaking Giant’s Causeway. Step out onto a landscape like no other, where over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns stretch out into the Atlantic Ocean. Most of these unique formations are hexagonal, creating what looks like a giant stone pathway leading straight across the sea. According to legend, this was the work of the Irish giant Finn McCool, who built the causeway to cross to Scotland and face his rival in battle. Whether you believe , the reality is just as impressive. Formed over 60 million years ago by volcanic activity, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a masterpiece of nature and one of the most photographed locations in Ireland. Walk across the famous stones, explore the surrounding cliffs, and soak in the raw beauty of the North Atlantic coastline. The Giant’s Causeway is a true highlight of any trip to Northern Ireland. It’s a must-see experience that stays with you long after you leave.

We had super weather a Sunday so we got places fast. We had a wonderful Jacob leader and our bus driver. New job was fantastic. We got ahead of time so we were able to also see the Titanic museum outside building and the rain was light when we were out or even not on at all, so it was fantastic.

The Giant Causeway was incredible such a freaky natural place. The castle was too far away to really appreciate. But the area is so beautiful and peaceful that you can appreciate the rest.

  • Well paced tour

Jacob and Mujeeb guided us on a great day trip away from Dublin. It was honestly a great value compared to traveling to those sites ourselves. Jacob shared interesting facts and lore along the way. One thing that did stand out was I felt like the tour was very well paced. Normally I feel like I end up killing time waiting for the next part of tours but this tour felt like it was a perfect amount of time for each activity.
