Wonderful morning spent wandering the castle and gardens. It rained here yesterday so everything was fresh and bright today

This was a fun way of spending a day in Dunedin. Highlights were the seals basking in the sun on the beach, amazing scenery and Larnach Castle.

This was an all day tour with our guide Lucy. There were 6 of us in her very comfortable van. We started our tour with pick up at our cruise port and a drive through Dunedin’s Central Business District which was interesting and allowed us to see some beautiful views along the way. We then headed to Smaills Beach, where we got to see several seal lions just lying on the beach. We were asked to get no closer than 30 feet but it was amazing. We left the beach and spent some time at Larnach Castle. This was also very nice and the grounds were beautiful. We were supposed to go to the Albatross Center but the group decided to go back to the ship as there was supposed to be an anti cruising protest at the port and Lucy was afraid of getting stuck in traffic behind it. Lucy did a great job and gave us a lot of good information about the area and was very accommodating in changing our schedule when we decided to get ahead of the protest. It was a great day.

We had a wonderful day with Lucy. We saw sights in the city and along the coasts. We had opportunities to see seals on the beach and in a protected reserve. We were a small group and she stopped often to let us take pictures.

A small group tour with a variety of stops from viewpoints, city walk, architecture to close encounters with wildlife (marine mammals). Lucy our guide was knowledgeable, accommodating and an enjoyable person with whom to spend the day.

Was a very scenic tour. The gardens at Larnach Castle were stunning. However, we did not need 90 minutes there! At the Royal Albatross Center do not plan on seeing penguins as they are gone during the day and come back at nighttime. We did see lots of Albatross if that is what you only want to see. I personally would have avoided the Albatross Center and less time at Larnach and opt for some time to explore the city of Dunedin before boarding the ship.

Wonderful day. Well paced. Informative. The highlight was seeing up close sea lions and the beach. That does not mean the rest of the tour was jacking - it wasn’t!

I was lucky to be in Lucy's tour on a bright, sunny day in the region. We went to different interesting places within the city and in the peninsula - a mix of historical places and nature. It felt like we have visited and seen a lot of amazing places without the feeling of being rushed - I was able to manage to take tons of photos. We were even lucky to see sea lions and their pups chilling in their natural habitat! Lucy is an amazing and lovely tour guide who is knowledgeable of the region. Her careful driving skills made our tour comfortable. Not only that, she was incredibly patient as I was running a few minutes late from our meeting time (really sorry for this). She was also exceptionally understanding and considerate to our senior tourmates, which I highly appreciate. Overall, it was a memorable tour for me - all thanks to Lucy and also to my tourmates.
