You’ll have to wake up early for this tour... but it’s worth it.
I’ll take you on a 3-hour walk I designed to capture the real Saigon, the one that’s alive and breathing only in the early morning.
We’ll kick things off with my favorite local breakfast: a hearty bowl of noodles and dumplings, or slow-cooked beef stew... all from a home made by a lovely grandma.
Next, we'll dive into the colorful chaos of the wet market (spoiler: it's not that wet), sampling juicy, exotic fruits at their freshest.
Then it’s off to an 86-year-old coffee house, where the aunties will show you the old-school way of brewing coffee and tea. We’ll sip bold Vietnamese brews that'll charge you up for the day ahead.
But that’s just the beginning.
Ask me anything, or just walk in peace and snap some photos.. introverts are more than welcome.
So, I’ll share stories, secrets, and hidden corners you won't find on Google, and make sure you leave a little more relaxed.
What could go wrong? :)

The Venerable Thich Quang Duc Monument
Heavy spot. Small, quiet, easy to miss — but once you know the story, it hits deep.
Grandma noodles and dumplings: We stepping into her living room that just happens to be a tiny restaurant. We sit down, she brings out these handmade dumplings and that slow-cooked beef stew... soft, rich, smells like home. Everything feels personal, like she’s cooking just for us. Simple, cozy, nothing fancy, but you walk out full and kind of happy inside.
Everything is included. You only need to book a taxi back home.

This trip was one of the best I've done. Our guide (Hieu) was both knowledgeable and entertaining. The food and drink stops were frequent, local in nature and very good quality. You will not leave hungry I thought it represented excellent quality and value and gave me everything I was looking for. Well done Hiue and thank you .

Nothing was rushed, nothing felt planned just for show. It felt like being gently invited into the city rather than guided through it. We followed the rhythm of the morning, stopping when something felt interesting, sitting when it felt right, eating slowly instead of moving on too fast. What made it unique was how present you were. You noticed little things, adjusted without saying much, and made the whole experience feel personal without trying to make it “special.” It just was. The markets, the food, the small streets all felt more meaningful because of that. By the end, it felt less like a tour and more like sharing a morning with someone who genuinely loves their city and was happy to let us experience it the same way.

It wasn’t the landmarks, it was the feeling of walking behind Spring through small alleys, trusting her completely, listening to stories that weren’t rehearsed. The way she interacted with vendors showed this wasn’t a job for her, it’s just her life. That made the experience special in a quiet way.

Wasn’t flashy or intense, just nice. Good food, interesting streets, easy conversation. Hieu felt genuine and kind. I didn’t feel like a “tourist” for a bit, which is rare. Would do it again tbh.

I kept thinking about the price after the tour, because honestly it felt like a bit of a steal. For what you get.. a small group, a relaxed pace, real conversations, food, culture, history, and access to places you’d never confidently walk into alone, it’s incredible value!! This didn’t feel like something designed to move people through quickly. It felt personal and intentional, like time was genuinely given to us. What made it even more valuable was you as the host. You were present the whole time, paying attention to how we were feeling, answering questions thoughtfully, and adjusting the flow without making it obvious. It never felt transactional. It felt like you actually cared that we were enjoying ourselves and understanding what we were seeing. I’ve paid more for tours that gave me far less, more people, less depth, and zero connection. This one stayed with me. If someone is on the fence because of the price, they really shouldn’t be.

Saigon can be intense, but walking through the city with Spring slowed everything down. The pace was easy, never rushed, and that alone made a big difference. The market felt busy but not overwhelming once Spring explained what was happening: who buys what, why mornings matter, how locals move through it all so naturally. Instead of chaos, it started to feel like a rhythm. I learned a lot just by watching and listening. What I liked most was how culture came through in small moments. Eating breakfast the local way, standing in an alley while food was being prepped, sitting with coffee and letting the city wake up around us. Nothing forced, nothing overexplained.I left feeling calm, grounded, and like I understood Saigon a little better... not just how it looks, but how it feels.

I’ve read about Vietnam’s history before coming, but it all felt flat on paper. Walking through Saigon with Hieu made it human. He didn’t overwhelm us with dates or names, hhe talked about how history shows up in everyday life. In the buildings people still live in, in the way neighborhoods are shaped, in what people choose to remember and what they quietly move past. The stop at the memorial for the monk stayed with me. He didn’t dramatize it. he told the story clearly, then gave us space.. just a moment to stand there and feel the weight of it. That kind of restraint takes care and respect. Later, walking through older apartment blocks, he explained why they were built that way, who lived there, and how people adapted over time. It wasn’t history as something finished... it was history still breathing. What I appreciated most was how he connected the past to the present. Why certain streets feel the way they do. Why people eat what they eat in the morning. Why Saigon moves forward the way it does. It gave the city depth instead of just sights. I left feeling like I understood why things are the way they are, not just what I was looking at.

Nothing fancy, no big explanation, just hot and perfect for the morning. Spring explained why people eat certain things early and how food fits into daily life here. It wasn’t about tasting everything, it was about understanding why this one thing exists. I appreciated that a lot. Also the coffee nearly killed me 11/10 tour!

We did this with our teenage daughter and honestly didn’t know how it would go. She loved it. Spring spoke to her like a person, not like a kid, answered all her questions (there were many), and explained things in a way that made sense. The market was chaotic but somehow Spring made it feel safe and calm. My favorite moment was sitting together eating fruit and laughing because we were all sticky and doing it wrong.

Hieu felt more like someone I was meeting for a morning walk than a guide. We talked about food, about life in Saigon, about nothing important really. At one point I got tired and quiet and he noticed, slowed down, sat with me for coffee instead of pushing on. That meant a lot actually. The city felt less overwhelming after this.
