Zekreet Beach
Zekreet fort Qatar The landscape of the Zekreet peninsula has a unique and fascinating geology. Salt flats, rocks and open desert plateau dominate this scenery. There are no sand dunes here, weird rock formations and great views over the blue waters of the gulf. The Bir-Zekreet limestone escarpment is a desert bleachy, the blustery has a seductive rocks, revealing pillars, big limestone mushroom and weird shapes as it projects from cliffs. The beach is located in the heart of the city and is close to the beach. The beach rocks with natural curves give us a concept of meticulous carving done by some great artist. Wonderful drive with Muhammad this morning to mushroom rocks, Zakreet beach and the area outside of Doha. Informative, interesting and Muhammad was knowledgeable about his country. I highly recommend this tour of the real Qatar, not just the hotels and tourist areas. Time well spent on my layover in Doha

Muhammad took us on a private tour to see the Richard Serra installation at sunset. This was the highlight of my trip to Doha as I work for American based museums. We went at exactly the right time and thanks to Muhammad we navigated the desert safely, even after the sun had set. You absolutely need to visit with a guide because it is otherwise too difficult to navigate off-road alone. And Muhammad really is a wonderfully experienced guide. As we drove back to the city, we were able to stop at a few other places that Muhammad recommended, including a local spot for some karak tea — it was absolutely delicious!

We had the most unforgettable experience in Qatar, all thanks to our amazing guide Mohammed. He was with us for two days — always charming, kind, and dressed proudly in his traditional Qatari attire. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, but he also made us feel truly cared for. Every detail was thoughtful, and the local lunch he picked for us was absolutely delicious — such a rich taste of Qatari culture. The drive through the sand dunes was thrilling and scenic — up and down like a desert rollercoaster, with the golden sky as our backdrop. It was one of the most beautiful rides we’ve ever experienced. 📍Places Mohammed took us: • Zubara Fort – A historical desert fort and UNESCO World Heritage site. Walking through its thick mud walls and old watchtowers made us feel like we stepped into another century. • Olafur Eliasson Installation – A surreal art experience in the desert. The mirrored structures blended into the landscape and felt like something out of a dream. • Jumail Village – A hauntingly beautiful abandoned village by the sea. It was peaceful, quiet, and full of stories from the past. • Purple Island – A lush contrast to the desert, with mangroves, walking bridges, and water birds. The sunset here was magical. ✨ Mohammed made this journey unforgettable. If you’re planning a trip to Qatar — book him as soon as you can. You’ll leave with beautiful memories, deep cultural insight, and a wonderful new friend.

Learn so much from our knowledgeable and experience guide Mohammed. We spent two days exploring every facet of Qatar from a high class fashion mall to the Sand dunes at sunset. Today we went to Zubaira Fort. We saw the most amazing sculpture/installation by the Icelandic sculpture Olafur Eliasson called Shadows Traveling on the Sea of the Day. Sculpture is located in a very remote spot in such a surprise to come upon. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of spending a day in Qatar with Mohammad as my guide and driver, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. From the moment we met, he was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about Qatari culture, history, and landmarks. Mohammad tailored the tour to fit my interests perfectly. He shared fascinating insights at each stop—from the modern architecture of West Bay to the historical richness of Souq Waqif and the beauty of the desert landscapes. He was patient with questions, offered helpful tips, and even helped me capture some great photos along the way. As a driver, Mohammad was punctual, courteous, and safe. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned—much appreciated in the Qatari heat. He navigated Doha’s traffic smoothly, making the day completely stress-free. What stood out most was his genuine passion for sharing his country with visitors. He went above and beyond to ensure I had a meaningful and enjoyable experience, even recommending places to eat and things to do after our tour ended. If you’re visiting Qatar and want an enriching, comfortable, and welcoming experience, I wholeheartedly recommend booking a tour with Mohammad.
