Let's explore one of Costa Rica’s best kept waterfall secrets. This tour begins with a very scenic drive along the coastline. Upon arrival, our short hike down to the river begins! As soon as we will enter the canyon you will come to face with a majestic 150-foot waterfall. We will guide you to the many different features Eco Chontales has to offer - multiple calm swimming holes, areas perfect for taking photos, a mini waterslide & even places to jump from! There is a small jump (6 feet), but also a larger one for the thrill-seeker - 9 meter (28 feet +/-)!
After we have explored all the features of the waterfall, we will create a mini on the spot-spa and turn into Avatars. We will apply mineral rich naturally colored blue clay on our bodies. This “rainforest clay” we provide is sourced near fresh spring water and is renowned for its healthy skin care properties.
To finalize our experience, we will get to enjoy a delicious, freshly cooked Costa Rican meal at the river restaurant.

This tour was truly amazing. Our tour guide Ishmael was awesome! We learned a lot of cool things. The waterfall was breathtaking, blue clay was so much fun, and the food was fabulous! Can not say enough good things about this tour!

We had the best day with Roberto at the waterfall. He was a great guide - very helpful and knowledgeable. He took great photos of our group and made sure we had everything we needed. We loved our time swimming and relaxing in the water. Plus our lunch was delicious! I would highly recommend.

Incredible day at the eco-Chontales waterfall! Our driver, Carlos, was wonderful! So personable not to mention being a great driver on some crazy roads. Our guides, DK and Mike, took great care of us and were awesome too! They always made sure we were safe and having fun. The waterfall is absolutely beautiful and is a hidden gem! I highly recommend Paddle 9.

This is a country of warm, friendly, amazing people, but the guides on this trip were truly special. We are a family of 5, and one of my kids needs help with the hiking due to mobility issues. Alejandro and Mikey were incredible: I have never seen anything like it! They were helping her and cheering her on, and they made the day so enjoyable. The waterfall is great! The guides definitely prioritize safety. The water was good for the smaller jump, but too much sediment had collected for us to leap off the higher jump. I appreciated them being cautious. We did mud facials and had a really nice lunch near the waterfall. I definitely recommend this company. We wondered whether we could have done the trip alone, but the road and bridges are a bit dicey, so I am glad we did it with guides: Especially with these true gentlemen!

This was our favorite tour yet from getting to drive the countryside, seeing the most amazing waterfall, getting to swim/jump/slide down said beautiful place (all while having your horrified faces being professionally photographed for laughs later), playing with blue mud masks, and having a truly incredible lunch. It was the perfect mix of adventure and is truly encompasses the “pura vida” saying. We visited all the waterfalls on the Costa Rica pacific coast, and this was by far our favorite. Thank you Maya, Corey, and Dominic!

Loved it! Everyone's favorite day of the trip. DK, rasta and mambo made a great team! A combo of keeping us safe but also letting us jump off crazy things.

Absolutely the highlight of our trip! Roberto and Maya are fabulous guides...knowledgeable, caring and fun. The waterfall is incredibly beautiful. We had a great time eating pineapple, applying blue clay to our faces and jumping into the refreshing water. We also learned a lot about Costa Rica. The scenic views on the ride to/from are amazing! Highly recommend this experience!!

Delayed review but very well deserved. Our guides, Ken and Damien, were knowledgeable, experienced and humorous. They made this challenging hike a safe, fun and enjoyable experience. Their vivid descriptions made it possible for me, a blind woman, to “see” the amazing environment all around us.

Our guides on our Eco Chontales Waterfall trip were Ismael and Mambo. They made our day so fun with their positive energy and true enthusiasm for the nature. The property is privately owned and no crowds. After our short hike and seeing some great sights along the way, we arrived at the Falls and there was a rainbow! Swimming in the waterfall pool was exciting and the lower pool had a natural rock slide that was FUN! We applied blue clay to our body while eating the most wonderful pineapple. The guides were cliff divers and thrilled us with amazing dives from the highest point. WOW! Lastly we had a delicious full meal served to us just up the hill from the waterfall. It was our favorite experience we shared during our stay in Manuel Antonio and I truly feel Ismael and Mambo really made this day extra special for us.
