After pickup, spend a short time at Blue Bay Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius.
Ile aux Aigrettes Nature Reserve
Embark on a small boat that will take you across the turquoise waters to Ile aux Aigrettes, a small coralline limestone island situated in the South East of Mauritius. Declared a nature reserve in 1965, this island is home to unique flora and fauna, that was once considered on the verge of extinction. When you arrive on the island, you will meet one of the trained and knowledgeable rangers who will accompany you on a guided hike around the island. As a result of the successful conservation efforts by scientists on the island, you will have the opportunity to view unique species such as the Mauritian Fody, Pink Pigeon, giant Aldabra Tortoise, and the Ornate Day Gecko in a safe and protected environment. You will also discover the original trees and vegetation that, before the arrival of man, covered Mauritius and its surrounding islands.

5.00We had a wonderful day and saw a ton of great sites with San. Highly recommend this tour although be mindful that La Vanille is more like an outdoor zoo. The insectorium and crocodile feeding were impressive there.

1.00Ile aux Aigrettes Nature Reserve is a wonderful place to visit. I totally recommend it.
But the Tour... don't pay for it! The taxi driver was a nice person, but he seemed confused. When we got at Pointe Jerome to get the boat, nothing was reserved and we had to wait more to go to the island. We decided to end the tour when we return from Ile aux Aigrettes and return to the hotel. It was not worth it at all!!!

1.00Don't bother.Just book the entry to Ile aux aigrettes on line and go to Blue Bay independently with your own driver which is just up the road from the boat to the island. The museum is around the corner as well.
Cheaper and easier than this disorganised tour.
