You’ll follow one of our friendly hosts around Edinburgh for a spot of sightseeing whilst your ship makes port at Queensferry. We’ll make sure your experience matches your schedule as well as your tastes. Perhaps you’d like to take in a few of the Scottish capital’s famous attractions, like Edinburgh Castle or the Scott Monument, or do you see yourself winding through the twisted cobbled streets of Old Town?

Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.

Learning some of the history of Edinburgh. Gee was very informative and entertaining. He made sure we got to see as much as possible. We got to take THE pictures to help remember our trip. We got to enjoy a traditional meal. I gave 5 Stars for the excursion and Gee as our tour guide. If I took one star away it would have been the weather, which none of us have control. Very cool and damp with some showers thrown in. When we come back would be earlier in season.

Wonderful experience exploring Edinburgh! Our guide, Doug, was so knowledgeable and friendly and tailor made our excursion so that our entire group (mother and and daughters) was entertained and engaged!

Our tour started being picked up right off the dock. We had an informative drive into Edinburgh and then off to wander the miracle mile. Richard was enthusiastic and had a wealth of knowledge on Edinburg history. He also regaled us in stories of the more turbulent and dark stories of the cities history at our request. A stroll through the cemetery was a favorite. Backstreets and Alleys cobblestones and stairs we traversed the old city and Richard answered our many questions. After a deli ou lunch in the city we were off to Hopetoun house. It’s actually a palace in my opinion but nevertheless it is an awe inspiring structure built in 1699. We toured the house and spoke to the knowledgeable staff and learned a great deal about the home and the family. We were then returned to the dock and said our good byes. You can’t go wrong with Richard on this tour. Highly recommend this tour.
No refund for inclement weather

Unfortunately, we were not able to get off our ship because of inclement weather. Since it was less than 24 hours, we were not provided a refund. I understand that the tour guide must be paid, however there was no consideration given to us as the tourist. These tours are not cheap and we have little recourse when circumstances arise that our out of our control.

Doug is our guide. We have targeted the TripAdvisor top 10 list and Doug completed 10+ iconic spots for us. We covered tourist spots from the new town to the old town, Medical College, Diagon Alley, etc. We even took a bus on Prince Street (the first time ever). We are very happy with our Edinburgh visit.
