We were taken to two Chalten treks. One was a waterfall, and the other one was the Condor viewpoint. Then we were given some free time in the city. Unfortunately that time wasn't enough to do any of the treks so we had to mostly loiter around the city. If I were to do this again, I'd definitely take the free self-guided option.

The day began with a smooth hotel pickup aboard a large off-road style bus—super comfortable, with tons of leg room and elevated seating that made the long 260 km drive incredibly scenic. We had a few photo and washroom stops along the way, and the views of Cerro Fitz Roy and the surrounding glaciers were absolutely stunning. A short hike to the Chorrillo del Salto waterfall was a real highlight; the falls were beautiful and an easy walk for everyone. Once in El Chaltén, we enjoyed plenty of free time to relax, explore the town, grab lunch, or simply soak in the mountain scenery. Our guide, Sandra, and our driver, Ricardo, were fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire long day. Their professionalism made the experience both safe and memorable. Highly recommend this full-day adventure if you’re looking to experience the best of El Chaltén without the stress of planning or driving.

Comfortable bus ride to El Chanten and hike to the hills with Fitz-Roy views, nearby famous waterfalls, lunch in El Chanten and free time packages. It was a satisfying journey to travel seamlessly.

A great day. Guide was excellent and showed knowledge. The lunch food was not so good and was poor quality. I would skip this if knew ahead of time. Another photo opportunity would have been appreciated.

The day before I was sent totally incorrect information. Luckily we were staying close to the office so we walked in to clarify. The bus you’re on is actually 2 different tours, plus it’s also a transport service. So the guide had to explain things several times for the different groups in Spanish and English. When we got to El Chaltern we had a 90 minute hike, then a 90 minute lunch, then about a half hour trip to a waterfall. Then 2 hours ‘free time’ in the town, with no suggestions what to do apart from ‘have a coffee’ . There’s not much to do there, we had a walk around and walked by the river. Then we had to be back on the bus by 5, and had to wait around for the ‘ independent hikers’, then drove round town picking up people from hotels who were going back to El Calafate. Might have given it 2 stars if the weather had been better but it was horrible ( not their fault I know!) We actually thought it was more of a bus service than a tour. Also, every tour operator tells you that you have to buy National Park tickets in advance. This isn’t true, you can buy them at the gate using cash or Visa card. Also you can buy a 2 day pass, and the 2nd day’s is half price.

The tour itself and Sandra the guide were fine, it’s a 2 because of this. Organisation was a shambles, I was given the wrong tour instructions so wasted 2 hours sorting out a Chile visa and park permit that weren’t needed. I was up waiting for a coach at 630 for the wrong coach, mine turned up at 8. If Liam sends you joining instructions be scared. 3.5 hours sleep that will never get back

Chalten is a magical place. The walk is exhausting but very satisfying. We reached the Capri Lagoon (we went as a family with a 7-year-old baby). When you arrive it makes you want to stay there for hours looking at the lagoon. Respect for service: We went to the Paine with this company and I found everything so organized that I hired to go to the Chalten with them. Impeccable.

It was a pleasant and quite relaxing tour. We saw beautiful scenery and heard fascinating historical facts about Argentina along the way. The tour included two short treks: one uphill to a viewpoint and another shorter, flat one leading to a waterfall. Lunch was at a nice restaurant and it was great! We also had some free time to stroll around El Chaltén, a very charming and peaceful little town. Both the guide and the driver were friendly and professional. The guide spoke both English and Spanish (his English is very good!). He explained many things, was always willing to help, answer questions, and even take photos for us. It’s an easy-going trip — perfect if you want to explore the surroundings of El Chaltén.

It’s a beautiful place but I didn’t expect the bus to take people between the hotels in El Calafate and El Chaten. I thought I was paying for a group tour that went straight to the tour. We wasted precious time dropping people off at their hotel.
