They cancelled my tour, citing a weather warning. I decided to go to the tour site any way in El Nido since my transportation was booked. Every other tour from other companies was leaving that day. The beaches were packed with tour groups. The sky was overcast and the sea was flat. i suspect the tour was not full so they cancelled on me. Ruined my trip. If you are going to book this tour, find another tour company. There are dozens that host this same itinerary.

The tour was booked with Alexzus Travel and Tours. It was difficult to get a response regarding my request for a proper vegetarian lunch, but after several attempts they eventually replied. I’m not sure whether it was due to their effort (I hope so) or just luck, but there were indeed vegetables and baked tofu provided for lunch. This is unusual for such tours, where vegetarians are usually offered only rice and fruit, and even the sauces are often fish-based. It’s also important to understand that the boats are not owned by a specific tour company — they are shared among multiple operators. Because of this, positive reviews you read may not necessarily reflect your next experience, as the boat and crew can be completely different from one day to the next. Do not expect spectacular bays with lush greenery. The scenery is fairly standard for Southeast Asia and similar to what you see in Thailand. The number of fish during snorkeling was very low and honestly disappointing, but that’s simply the reality of the area and not something the tour company can control. There are also no functional restrooms on the islands visited during Tours A and C. Technically, restrooms exist, but they are not usable. Overall, these tours are mainly about relaxing and passing the time. They are heavily advertised, but the reality is much more modest.
