A Pedego Electric Bike is the best way to experience all that Amelia Island has to offer. A Pedego is just like a regular bike - only better. You can pedal normally (or not) and get power when you want it. It feels like being a kid again!

Note: All participants must be able to ride a bike. You will need to certify before departure that you have safely ridden a bike in the last 5 years.

What To Expect

Big Talbot Island State Park

During this tour, we ride down 7 mile’s of Amelia Islands designated bike path, over the George Crady Bridge, and into Big Talbot Island where we do a little trail riding down to the beach for a ride along the sand (if tide levels permit). The power of the bike makes the our trek through the sand easy-breezy. This tour provides a taste of Amelia Islands’ natural beauty and wildlife as we bike through moss-laden live oaks, along natural waterways, and on coastal paths. On the way back, riders have the option to stop at the Shops of Amelia Island for some refreshments prior to returning to the Pedego Store. *Optional stop subject to bike availability

First of all I will say I am glad that I experienced this; however, I would like to offer some constructive criticisms. #1. I was hoping for a more leisurely ride and taking in the sights-nope, rushed all the time. #2. Equipment such as seats tightened down should be inspected before customers ride them. #3. Rides through Construction areas invites flat tires from rogue nails on the road #4. Future obstacles should be known by the tour guide (down trees, flooding across the path, etc) and not let it be discovered by the customers. This whole trip was chaotic. Other than that the weather was beautiful, but I was disappointed that we never got to ride that road where we could see how fast these bikes could go (the thrill seeker in me) I suggest the tour guide poll the group and what they want their experience to be in order to achieve customer satisfaction.

We had a wonderful ride. Loved the beach excursions and the shaded trails. Our guide was well informed of the local area. He took great care in each of us.

Our guide was great; he gave us helpful and clear instructions on using the bikes and our tour was fun and informative. We got to ride to places I would not have known to go to. I highly recommend this tour!

Vicky was a wonderful tour guide. She explained using the e bike and let us practice first. Made stops to show us the sites. Really enjoyed and would book again when in town.

Jay led us on a fantastic trip around the island. He was engaging and nicely adjusted to an extremely hit day with a shady ride. He and the company were very accommodating! Highly recommend.

Our tour guide Jay was very accommodating, making sure our bikes were properly adjusted to our heights and very thoroughly explained how to operate the bike. He took us around the island, keeping us in shaded areas as much as possible. Overall, a very fun and safe excursion !!!

Jay was great. Got to know all about the rich and famous. But the best was meeting average people fishing off the pier. Under the oaks was the best in June, not so hot.

Mark was our guided bike tour guide. We went to the boneyard overlook and were a ground of four of us. Vicki got us set up and Mark took us for a wonderful ride. I highly recommend this guided tour. If you are new to electric bikes or to Amelia Island, I strongly recommend the guided tour.
