Bomod-Ok (Big) Falls

Bomod-ok Falls is also called the Big Falls because, well, it is definitely bigger than Bokong Falls, another popular waterfall in Sagada. Hidden deep in a valley, it takes an hour to two to get here by foot from the main road (and that’s just one-way). Bomod-ok’s cold, cold water cascades from the top of a beautiful naturally contoured cliff to a pool below, forming a 200-ft column of water and wonder.

This was very amazing and one of a kind, seeing the different parts of the Philippines was very astounding. Culture was very nourished and coated by some preserve ethnical things from the past. Our first stop is the trekking to the volcano and ride a 4x4 truck, it was very extreme and awesome experience having a thrilling ride to the area where the aftermath of the eruption. We see some indigenous people there and witness their different structures and characteristics figures. The first stop was very beautiful and manageable because of of our travel coordinator Seana that has a good presence of attitude and lovely smile every time she is talking and even we ask her some questions. She manage everything until we reach our next stop the rice field of terraces the Bananue Rice Terraces. Travel time almost 9 hours and our driver Rhed was very smooth and professional on his driving skills, he let our selves relax and comfortable on his driving talent, thanks for making us safe until we reach our last destination in Baguio to Manila. We got a lot of fun and extreme experience on this trip that we never experience before, for us our highlight to this is the Hotspring and The Cave we thought that we can make it but WE DID IT !!!!! Thanks to our local guides for bringing some local experiences Abner in Banaue and Rex to the Sagada heading to the Hanging Coffins. To end this if you want a good and safe people to take care of you on the trip, we recommend Seana and Rhed for you, so that if would be easy and smooth for you to manage the trip. This trip is a ALL IN ONE cultural trip with some UNESCO Heritage spots sightseeing.

Did this tour with my mum and her partner (both >65). The tour started in Manila, and included a side trip to Mt. Pinatubo (an add-on), Banuae rice terraces; Sagada; and Baguio (also an add-on). The tour overall was excellent and well planned. Our travel coordinator Seana was fun, knowledgable, and went above and beyond with catering to our needs (including looking after my mum when she didn't feel comfortable going on one of the treks). She gave considerable flexibility with the tour and made sure we were enjoying ourselves as much as possible. Our driver Rhed was also great; very professional and safe, we never felt in danger at any point in the trip despite the long drives and difficult terrain. The individual tour guides at each stop were also great. Particular shout outs to Abner for his extremely thorough information on Batad, Jimmy for much the same of Hapao, and Rex for being extremely considerate of my mum and her partner's age when navigating the Sumaguiong Cave. The overall locations we visited where mostly great, especially Batad and the cave in Sagada. The days were packed with just the right amount of activities to be active without feeling overwhelming. The sites on display are certainly extremely impressive and not as well visited as other places in the Philippines. I encourage everyone who wants either a cultural or environmental experience to strongly consider this tour, since it caters to both aspects extremely well. In terms of physical exertion, the experience was mostly moderate. My elderly mum and her partner were able to do everything except for the Batad terraces. In terms of negatives, I'd say the accommodation in Banaue was pretty bad, with poor amenities. The other places we stayed were great though, so I consider it a one off. The traffic in Baguio was also awful and meant we weren't able to do some of the activities planned for the day, but it was OK because they were just moved to the night and following morning. All in all the tour was great. We all had a great time due to the quality of the locations and the professionalism of our guides and driver. Strongly recommend.

  • Amazing North Luzon Tour with YOLO

We did a one week trip to North Luzon with Joannah (travel coordinator) and Marlon (driver) and had such an amazing time. We left from Manila and then went to Bagio, Sagada and Banaue. We loved each of the places, from the food and museums in Bagio to the stunning scenery of the Banaue rice terraces to the hanging coffins of Sagada. Joannah had planned lots of activities for us, however if we wanted to do something that was not on the itinerary or mix things up, that was also fine, it was all very relaxed and nothing was too much trouble. We felt safe and comfortable with Marlon at the wheel and would definitely go with Yolo again for another great adventure. Thank you so much to Paulo, Joannah and Marlon for giving as a really awesome experience #YOLO
