Walk through the breathtaking Imperial Apartments, admire the spectacular monastery church, and discover the legendary multi-level wine cellars. This heritage-rich abbey continues to house these priceless treasures even today. One of the remarkable artifacts we will get the opportunity to see is a 14th-century ducal hat, a piece of history that provides a fascinating glimpse into the past.

5.00This was one of three tours that my 15-year-old son and I took with Cozy Travel while we stayed in Vienna. I scheduled the tours about six months in advance and was in constant contact with Jenny before the tours. Jenny happily answered any questions (which were a lot-LOL) I had over the six months and responded in perfect English. While her husband, Vladimer safely drove us to each location in their comfortable car, Jenny would provide background on the areas that we drove by (and would let us rest when needed!). Jenny also provided her vast expertise during the tours at the actual locations. My son and I felt safe with Jenny and Vlad, in addition to enjoying their expertise and companionship during the tours. First was a short drive to Klosterneuberg Monastery. Inside the church is beautiful with elaborate designs. The items in the treasury are fascinating, and Jenny was able to provide the history on everything we saw. Next, we went to the Heiligenkreuz Abbey. This church is also beautifully designed. The inner halls of the monastery courtyard are peaceful with stunning architecture. I actually had one of the best meals while in Austria at the restaurant located on the grounds. Finally, we went to the charming town of Baden. This is a peaceful town with gorgeous views atop the hill and in the town center. We went to a lovely heuriger (wine tavern) and sampled the most delicious Viennese wines. I would highly recommend this tour for a peaceful, relaxing escape from Vienna for the day.
