What To Expect
Kanchanaburi War Cemetery
Pick up from hotel in Bangkok at 07:00 a.m. (except hotel around airports). Transfer to Kanchanaburi by private transport. Visit the war cemetery, the memorial place which is the main prisoner of war cemetery for victims of Japanese imprisonment while building the Burma Railway.
River Khwae Bridge
Continue to visit "Bridge over the river kwai", the landmark and highlight of Kanchanaburi which is famous from the movie of the same name. The bridge over the river kwai is a part of the death railway which was constructed by POWs during WW2.

5.00We did this experience as part of our honeymoon trip to Bangkok. It was an excellent excursion from the city, where we were able to learn about the history and significance of the River Kwai Bridge and Death Railway, but also enjoy the nature and beauty of the Erawan waterfall! Our guide Army was so open and helpful throughout the whole day and made us feel at ease to ask as many questions as we wanted. He also took some lovely photos of us as a couple. We would encourage everyone to bring a change of clothes so that they can take a refreshing swim in the waterfall Plunge pools, after hiking up alongside the waterfall. For anyone British, American or Australian and interested in history, the Death Railway has a lot of significance, and this tour gives an excellent overview.

5.00This was incredible day trip. We were picked up early from our hotel by our guide, Army, and our driver, Non. We travelled out of Bangkok to Kanchanaburi and visited the War Memorial which was very moving. Next we travelled to the River Kwai and walked over the famous bridge. Army was so knowledgeable abut the history and we learned so much. We then visited the beautiful Erawan Waterfall and climbed up the many tiers, taking time to swim in the turquoise pools before eating a delicious lunch at the local restaurant. Finally, we visited the Hell Fire Pass. It was a fascinating day made all the more memorable through our fantastic guide, Army. I highly recommend this trip! We were so well looked after and we saw such a fascinating part of Thailand.

5.00Fantastic private tour with a brilliant guide, Army. Even though it was just the two of us we were driven in a very comfortable SUV/van which was great as enabled us to relax on the long journey.
Beside amazing views, we found Amy, exellent guide with full of info and gave us deep insight of living Thailand. Go Amy

5.00This tour was incredible. It’s a private tour and it was just me and my husband. Kim was an awesome tour guide as well as Mr. Gai as the driver. The waterfalls were INCREDIBLE. I could’ve spent all day there (maybe forever?). The bridge over the Kwai River and Death Railway were really interesting. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00I can't say enough good things about our tour guide, Ms. Pom, who took exceptional care of my parents and two kids on their day trip to Kanchanaburi. They visited the Death Railway, Erawan Waterfall, and Krasae Buddha Cave, and throughout the entire journey, our guide ensured they were comfortable and well taken care of. The transport provided was very comfortable, and she made thoughtful stops to get them food. She even went the extra mile to take lots of photos, which she shared with me afterward. Her attentiveness and kindness truly made the trip unforgettable for my family. Highly recommend!

5.00Brilliant guide called Time who was super friendly and knowledgeable. We felt really looked after. Time even took photos of us as a family on his phone then shared with us on the way home. He also gave us site seeing and restaurant recommendations for Bangkok and Chiang Mai (our next destination). Private taxi very comfortable supplied with iced water.

5.00We booked a private trip from Bangkok to Bridge over Kwai, Errawan Falls and Death Railway Gwen and Nui (hope thats right , the driver)were our team for the day. The whole day was amazing, from the prompt pick up at the hotel to every activity. Gwen was just fabulous so informative and attentive. The trip moved me to happy tears many times as the scenery was incredible. Gwen made us feel like VIP s all day Taking time to help me get to the top of the falls, which we did and it felt amazing up there. We shared a lovely lunch with her and it was so nice to chat to her and understand more about stunning Thailand We were so impressed with her thst when we moved on to Krabi we passed on her details to a family we met who were returning to Bangkok to finish their trip Highly recommend using this guide and definatetly this trip is a must do when in Bangkok Thank you Gwen for making our day so special
