If you’re looking to soak up the best that Mother Nature has to offer around the Kanchanaburi area, join this Erawan Waterfall and Train Tour for a day of lush greenery, refreshing waters and rich history. We’ll start bright and early with a pick up from your accommodation in Kanchanaburi. Then we’ll head to our first stop, Srinakarin Lake. Built as a result of the Srinakarin Dam on the Kwai Yai River, this peaceful and placid lake offers fantastic views of the reservoir and the surrounding mountains and forests. Admire the lakeside views and snap photos before we head to our next destination, Erawan National Park.
Erawan Waterfalls
Named after the three-headed white elephant in Hindu mythology, the park is most famous for housing Erawan Waterfall, a striking body of water that cascades down seven tiers and is said to resemble the god Erawan. Take a quick dip in the emerald green pools, scout the nearby caves, and take in the lush surrounding forest of the park before digging into tasty lunch at a local restaurant.

Our tour guide was Nanny and she was so friendly and helpful. She was like a professional photographer with all the photos she took and sent us. It was great that the trip started so early as we were the first ones at Erwan Waterfall which made it all the more special. Nanny was full of interesting information about the death railway and her English was very good. Definitely recommend.

A really nice trip! The guide was very friendly and helpful but unfortunately eteas difficult to understand. The hike and the museum could also have been done on its own. Also, the stay at the River Kwai seemed a bit short to us. A short train ride to the well-known lookouts on the "death railway" would be a fitting addition. Nevertheless recommended.

Experience of a lifetime, thanks to our guide Na! Her enthusiasm for photo ops was a passion, and we have so many wonderful photos, and memories, of the day. On the Death Railway, we each leaned our heads out the window, and Na did the same in the window in front, snapping pics with the train length in the background. Brilliant! Na is a delight, and all 8 of us were so grateful to her for creating a perfect day. We loved Erawan Waterfall, and Na explained the nature around us, enriching the experience. Lunch was the best food we ate during our 10 day tour, and that is saying a lot as we stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels. Loved Na, loved the day, highly recommend this tour. The best!

The park as well as the guide „Ohm“ were amazing! I wish we had some more time to enjoy the waterfalls but it was a great trip anyway! 😊 Our guide made sure we had enough time for toilet and coffee breaks 💪

Very Dissapointed Trip Guru did not turn up for the booking. I contacted the company the night before to confirm the pick up time and they responded they would confirm pick up time by 9pm the night before the trip but they didn’t so contacted there helpline which was no help so we waited outside our hotel for planned pick up time of 7.30am with no arrival so tried contacting the company again via email, phone and WhatsApp and finally had feedback at 8am that there was a glitch ???? In the system and we were booked for the next day. If this was the case why wasn’t I informed of this the night before when I first made contact ? Very unprofessional service and spoilt our planned trip as we missed out on the train journey as it was fully booked but used a local guide who took us to additional places at a much lower cost and a lot more professional. Have used Viator many times to book my trips, this is the first time we have been let down. Definitely will not book any trips again that are be run by trip guru.

Very kind guide named Nan, patient and helpful. But either Viator or Nan takes it as a rip-off opportunity with crazy commission. Really. 7,000 THB for just a day is overpriced. This is the only tour that departs from Kanchanaburi, and not Bangkok. So I chose it. But nothing is included in it, not even the lunch. I assume good business for Nan or Viator. She is nice but know how to handle her business. Also, the Thai-Burma Railway Center is included in the activities but got removed on Nan’s agenda so I had to pay by myself the museum. I would also have expected more activities included like the Hell Fire Pass (where she also works).

The tour guide was great Pick up fine. Bit rushed at waterfall, train ride ok. Kids a bit bored. Ok day, but book from hotel. This price WAY too much.

I feel like this trip is way too expensive for what it contains. For USD 200 I would expect a little more. The major issue is; 1) the trip starts from Kanchanaburi and not Bangkok, although I feel, that within $ 200, they can easily manage to provide pick and drop from Bangkok, it is just a day-long trip that concludes at 2:00 pm. The trip contains a visit to the famous and very beautiful Erawan waterfalls and a brief train trip on the Death Railway track (Thailand-Burma railway centre) to the River Khwae bridge. To make it a value-for-money trip, I would suggest adding a visit to the Railway Museum which is hardly a 5-minute drive from the bridge and the World War II cemetery which is hardly a few meters away from the museum. With $ 200, I would also suggest, if I may, to include lunch. Now the question is why did I book the tour? I was looking for a trip to the waterfalls but more affordable trips were for a group of 2 or more travellers and unfortunately, there was no option for solo travellers but this private trip which was disappointing. My original trip was also delayed by a day by the agency and I had to stay an extra day at Kanchanaburi, which I don't regret as the place is nice and historical.
