Important note
Please note: Kala Patthar landing takes place at a very high altitude of 5,550m, where weather conditions can change within minutes. Strong winds, clouds, or sudden weather changes are very common in the Everest region, and for safety reasons many flights are unable to land at Kala Patthar even after promising it.
With our service, you do not need to pay in advance for the landing. If you would like to attempt the Kala Patthar landing, you can simply pay an extra USD 200 only after a successful landing. This helps save your money, time, and avoids unnecessary disappointment.
Many companies advertise guaranteed Kala Patthar landings, but in reality weather conditions often prevent the landing at the last moment. We prefer to be transparent

had an absolutely amazing experience with the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour with Kala Patthar landing organized by Adventure Master Trek. From the beginning, Raj was very professional, responsive, and helpful through WhatsApp. Every question was answered quickly, and he offered us the best price with excellent service. Our first flight was cancelled because of weather conditions, but Raj kept us updated and rearranged everything smoothly for the next day. Luckily, the weather became perfect with clear mountain views. The helicopter ride itself was one of the best adventures of my life. Landing at Lukla, Pheriche, and Kala Patthar was truly unforgettable. Seeing Mount Everest so closely was a dream come true. The pilot was highly experienced, and the entire journey felt very safe and comfortable. Breakfast at Everest View Hotel with panoramic Himalayan scenery was another highlight. Thank you so much to Raj and the whole Adventure Master team for making this trip so memorable.Price is very reasonable and we are only there people they fly not cancelled, i read sharing flight less then 5 people will be cancelled, they made flight for three people and I pay after the flight that was best part of the trip, no doubt with there Service I highly recommend this company to anyone planning an Everest helicopter tour in Nepal, I will be back with my family one day Thank you so much

We had a fantastic trip to Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar landing despite weather challenges. Adventure Master Trek was very helpful and supportive, providing continuous support to ensure we face no difficulty. Pick up, Check-in, Drop back were all very efficient and smooth. Most importantly the communication was seamless and always updated. We strongly recomment Adventure Master Trek. It is amazing to realize that this is probably the nearest I will ever be to the highest point on earth

Amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience with Adventure Master Trek! The Everest Base Camp helicopter tour with Kala Patthar landing was perfectly organized from start to finish. The views of Everest and the surrounding Himalayas were absolutely breathtaking, and landing at Kala Patthar was unforgettable. The pilot and staff were professional, friendly, and made the whole trip smooth and safe. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Everest without the long trek!

The places that were flown to were truly fantastic. We had excellent weather, which made both Kala Patthar and the Everest View Hotel absolute highlights. At the airport in Lukla, there was an organizational problem because the communication among the staff there was not good. They keep trying to get more money through unclear statements. One should listen to Raj, pay them nothing, and instead reference him. Raj was very dedicated to ensuring we had the best possible experience. During the communication issues, he called the staff in Lukla multiple times to seek clarifications. Following the tour, we paid the agreed additional costs for the landing in Kala Patthar. Due to the mentioned communication problems, additional costs arose, which Raj very professionally kept away from us, for which we were very grateful. All in all, a great experience, especially if one has as much luck with the weather as we did. Absolutely recommended!

I used Adventure Master Trek for a couple of tours (the helicopter Everest tour and their Kathmandu Heritage tour of the major temples which I would also recommend). Raj was very communicative and Whatsapp'd frequently after booking. Questions were answered very timely, I don't know when they sleep! For the Everest tour, they picked us up from our hotel on time (05:10) to beat airport traffic, and contracted with Annapurna Helicopters for the tour itself. Expect some waiting around - we didn't really take off until 8 am. There's an order of take off and you have to wait your helicopter's turn in the queue, and obviously medevac flights take precedence. But it's really cool seeing the helicopters' takeoffs and landings. The views were amazing and the topography very interesting. When you get closer to the Mt. Everest area, the helicopter lands, splits the group and takes turns bring the group around Everest / surrounding ranges / base camp in 2s and 3s. It's a pretty incredible and beautiful experience. Other highlights are stopping for breakfast at the everest hotel (you're hungry by this stage and breakfast is substantial!) to enjoy a meal with everest in the background. We also enjoyed the stop in Lukla with the short runway and cliff-edge takeoff, that was pretty cool. Anyway, although this is one of the more costly tours you could do, I think it's worth it.

Seeing Everest has been a childhood dream of mine for decades and this trip did not disappoint - in fact it exceeded all expectations and is one of the best things I have every done in my life; I will never forget it. I am really grateful to Adventure Master Trek for facilitating such as wonderful experience and for making us feel so safe throughout. I appreciate that this is a very expensive trip (especially with the Kala Patthar landing which was $1,100 extra per person) so, although I don't normally write long reviews, I thought I would on this occasion in case it was useful to someone who is deciding if they wanted to invest in the trip with Adventure Master Trek. So what happened to us? We booked the trip about 6 months in advance and we were immediately contacted by Adventure Master Trek who sent us detailed texts explaining what would happen on the day and explaining what information they would need such as passports etc. They then stayed in touch with us during the period before our holiday which I appreciated as they were available to able to answer any questions we had. The day before the trip we decided, in consultation with Adventure Master Trek, that, because the weather window was very favourable, we were going to try for the Kala Patthar landing. We then met up with their representative at a place of our choosing in Kathmandu to pay the additional fee. The next day, we were collected at 5.30am as promised and taken to Kathmandu airport. The airport security etc for the helicopters is the same as for aeroplanes but afterwards you are driven to a different part of the air field where there are about 20 helicopters on stands. We waited in a small room at the side of the air field for about an hour until we had airspace (the helicopters go out about 5 mins apart so you don't see more than one or two when you are up in the air) and we walked over to the helicopter when asked to do so. There were 5 paying clients and the pilot. I sat at the front with the pilot in the passenger seat and the other 4 passengers sat in the back. We all had earmuffs. It was quite hazy / smoggy as we left Kathmandu for the 45 min trip to Lukla Airport and this made me panic a bit because, even though I had been warned that this would be the case, it is still hard not to worry that it won't be clear when you get to Everest! However, after about 20 mins the visibility really improved and the views of the mountains, valleys and villages became spectacular. This is the the first time I had ever been in a helicopter and I loved it. It really is quite a ride! We landed at Lukla airport very briefly (to drop off the food supplies for Everest Base Camp etc) and we then flew to the Everest View Hotel. Three of the other passengers got out here to go and have breakfast. This is because only 2 people at a time (and the pilot) can do the mountain flyby and (if chosen) the Kala Patthar landing because of weight limits, so this part of the trip is done in replays. My daughter and I flew on to see Everest Base Camp, the mountains, glaziers and lakes and it was all stunningly beautiful in the bright sunshine - the photos don't even began to do it justice. I think this part of the trip took about 10-15 minutes but honestly I don't remember precisely. We then landed at Kala Patthar and stayed there for 10 minutes exactly (it is timed because of fuel etc). It was extraordinary - other worldly - and like nothing else I have every experienced before. There was just my daughter, the pilot, me and the helicopter on this ledge at 5,500m in bright sunshine looking at two 8000m plus mountains right in front of us with the peak of Everest visible between them. It is actually quite an emotional experience and very serene. I can't really explain properly what it was like other than to say that I don't regret the cost in any way - I would go back tomorrow if I could! The air is thin there, but we found that as long as we moved slowly and breathed deeply we were both OK. Landing at Kala Patthar is technically difficult because of the lack of oxygen to burn the fuel and because of the cross winds, so it is worth mentioning the pilot here. At all times we felt incredibly safe with him. He was always calm and clearly very skilled. Like all of the pilots employed for the trips used by Adventure Master Trek, it turns out that he was very experienced (7 years at advanced flying level) and he flew backwards and forwards to Lukla Airport every day for most of the year (the villages and monasteries near Everest still need to be serviced even when the climbing season isn't on). He also completed mountain rescues including landing on the mountains and retrieving people on the end of ropes when landings weren't possible. We really felt we were in very safe hands. We then flew on to the Everest View Hotel (8,880m with amazing views) where we had breakfast. We stayed there for just over an hour. The breakfast was expensive (as you might expect given that all of the food and staff are flown in) but was actually of a really good quality. It is obviously an amazing place to eat because of the views. Finally, we flew back to Kathmandu, cleared the airport security and were driven home after what really had been the trip of a lifetime. Just two quick things to mention before I finish: firstly toilets. While you will stop at all the places mentioned, there might not be time for you to use the loo at Lukla Airport and you might also be waiting at the side of the air field for an hour or so before you take off. It's therefore worth planning accordingly as it might be several hours before you get to the Everest View Hotel! Secondly, the UV levels at the Everest View Hotel are extreme. While most of your body will be covered up, I took my hat off for about 10 mins and burnt my scalp a bit. I also have very brown hands despite using SPF 50! Anyway, I hope this review hasn't bored you too much and it is useful for those people who, like me, were nervous about spending so much on one trip and thinking 'Is it going to be worth it?' For me, given the great weather we had, the answer is a million times yes! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did if you do go!

We’ve been on a quest to see as many natural, ancient and modern wonders of the world as possible. Mt. Everest was number 19 of the 21 and it didn’t disappoint! We had a wonderful experience seeing the mountain up close and spending time wandering around Lukla. We had some challenges with the weather as it took three attempts to fly, but Adventure Master Trek made the process simple and painless. Thanks for the opportunity!

Once in a lifetime experience and all made very easy by Adventure Master Trek. Communication was excellent and everything went very smoothly thanks to our guide Prabesh who was with us the whole time. Both our guide and the pilot were very informative and we felt very safe. Landing at Kala Patthar and being so close to Everest was totally mind blowing . We would do it all again and can't recommend the trip and the company highly enough.
