This hiking trip was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. Words can’t fully capture the feelings and personal growth I experienced, but I’d like to focus on the outfitter who made it all possible. If I could give them 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat! Simkhada, the owner, along with Prakash Adhikari, our lead guide, and Dorji, Yadav and Dikpal, assistant guide were absolutely incredible. All of them would greet us with smile and takes care of smallest request with smile until late night. Each one went above and beyond, almost as if they could anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. Thanks to their dedication and teamwork, I was able to achieve my dream of reaching Everest Base Camp. This company and its staff are highly trained, compassionate, and committed to ensuring every hiker reaches their goal. Beyond just guiding us, they enriched our journey with insights into local customs and each town we visited, making it a true cultural experience. Prakash carefully selected tea houses for us, ensuring comfort and authenticity at every stop. I could go on about the behind-the-scenes magic that Simkhada and Prakash worked to handle logistics and tackle challenges in our favor. Their expertise and genuine care made all the difference. I highly recommend this company. We’ve used them before, and there’s no question we’ll turn to them for our next expedition in Nepal.

Epic once in a lifetime experience! From start to finish Bhagwat and his team made this experience seamless and memorable. Our lead guide Prakash Adhikari is very knowledgeable supportive and always had our safety his first priority. Our guides Dorji, Digpal and Yadav offered stories about the region and kept our spirits high during the challenging stretches of trail. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism, expertise and heartfelt dedication to make your trip memorable. This was our second experience with the company and I would not hesitate to book with them again for future treks in Himalayas.

This company stands out as one of the most professional, well-organized, and genuinely caring organizations I have had the pleasure of working with on an expedition. Having completed treks with multiple companies across different continents, I can confidently say this team’s attention to detail, commitment to safety, and genuine care for each trekker set them apart. Initial Planning and Preparation From the moment we initiated the planning process, Simkhada demonstrated an exceptional level of care and expertise. He was involved in every detail, ensuring each step was well thought out and all potential concerns were addressed proactively. The preparation phase went beyond just logistics – he anticipated our needs, from accommodations to gear, leaving no detail unchecked. His thorough approach brought a sense of security and trust to our group before we even arrived. Adaptability Amid Natural Challenges Just a week before our trek, Nepal experienced unprecedented torrential rains and severe flooding. The bridge to Ramachhap was washed away, which disrupted our original plans to catch our flight to Lukla. A quick, critical decision was essential to ensure our group of 18 could still reach Lukla on time. Simkhada and Prakash handled this challenge flawlessly, quickly pivoting to secure helicopter transportation. Their resourcefulness and calm under pressure were evident as they turned an obstacle that could have derailed our expedition into a seamless adjustment. This ability to adapt while maintaining focus on our needs was incredibly reassuring. Exceptional On-Trek Leadership and Care During the trek itself, Prakash was an outstanding leader. He managed every detail of our experience, from coordinating tea houses and meals to ensuring the safety and comfort of each trekker. His leadership went beyond logistics – he fostered a positive group atmosphere, and everyone felt well cared for. No request was too small; he addressed every need, whether it was a minor comfort or a health issue. Unfortunately, two days before the trek’s end, I developed a pulmonary infection. The urgency of the situation demanded swift action. Prakash immediately coordinated a helicopter evacuation to Kathmandu, and within two hours, I was safely back in the city receiving treatment. The professionalism and efficiency displayed by Prakash in managing my health crisis were remarkable. His actions not only helped me recover but also underscored his deep commitment to the well-being of his trekkers. Ongoing Support and Care in Kathmandu Once back in Kathmandu, Simkhada continued to go above and beyond. He visited me at the hotel multiple times each day, brought necessary medications, and ensured I was comfortable. He consistently checked in on my recovery and made sure I received the care I needed, providing a level of support that went far beyond what I would have expected from a trekking company. On our last day, he even arranged for us to visit the Pashupatinath Temple, taking care of every detail so we could enjoy a meaningful and memorable darshan. A Company Worth Recommending This was our second time trekking with this company; two years ago, they organized an Annapurna Base Camp trek for us on short notice. Once again, they showed the same high standards, professionalism, and dedication to making our journey a success. Prakash Adhikari, our guide, has exceptional management and leadership skills, and I look forward to working with him again on future treks. Having trekked in Machu Picchu, Kilimanjaro, and beyond, I can confidently say this team is unparalleled in their commitment to creating a safe, unforgettable adventure. For anyone considering a trek or tour, I wholeheartedly recommend this company. If you need further feedback, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] – I’m more than happy to share my positive experiences and discuss how this team can make your adventure as fulfilling and memorable as ours.

We just completed an amazing trek to Everest Base Camp. Over last 8 months, Bhagwat helped us plan our itinerary and answered our questions promptly. He had solutions for every challenge. Flooding in September almost derailed our plans but he found perfect solutions. During the trek, due to inclement weather and flight cancellation, we had to change our guide. Bhagwat arranged this switch without disturbing our schedule. Our guide, Dikpal was an amazing guy. Full of energy, with lots of stories to share. He encouraged us throughout the trek. Last two days were very challenged both in terms of cold and never ending inclines. But he helped us and guided us all the way to the end. A special mention to our porter, Madan, an energetic and eversmiling young boy without whom this trip would not have been possible. I highly recommend Himalayan Adventure, Bhagwat and his team. I hope to do more treks with him.

Excellent planning and execution of all aspects of the trek. Bhagwat is an amazing tour planner and operator. Our guide was Dikpal who gets 10/10 for being well informed, considerate and helpful. Our porter Madan is Superman with a constant smile and a willing helping hand at all times. We had great weather for 95% of the trek and were able to enjoy the astounding views. Glitches due to landslides and cancelled flights from Lukla were efficiently handled by helicopter rides thanks to Bhagwat and his team. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and a challenge to stretch your own limits. I would highly recommend Himalayan Adventures and encourage you to request Dikpal and Madan for your team.

We had an incredible experience as a repeat customer hiking the EBC in October of 2024. The team at Himalayan adventure, especially the lead guide Prakash Adhikari, takes care of you like a family. Prakash and his team worked tirelessly to ensure we had the best possible experience through our journey. We had a large group (18 hikers) - We had to change our plans to take helicopter (both ways) due to the heavy rains in Ramachap created some logistical issues (going to Lukla) and foggy weather created some issues coming back from Lukla to KTM. Prakash and his team pulled all their leverage to ensure our return to KTM - which allow us to return home in time. While many hikers were stranded in Lukla, KTM and other places - we were able to hop on the Heli and move. During our trek - we were able to enjoy our time with each other as Himalayan Adventure team took care of all the logistics... We had great experiences staying at places selected by them - Even with this large group, everything went as planned... and they played a critical role in that. I would highly recommend any traveler/hiker going to Nepal this team. We have become a family after our 2nd trip with them... Great People!

I had a great time with this company. The guide was super nice & they put me in a nice hotel in Kathmandu. The owner of the company is also super nice. If you’re going on this trek solo or with an odd number of people be aware it is extra fee. I was alone so I had to pay a little extra for single supplement. But that is not the end of the world. I had a solo experience with my guide, and no group to slow me down. I was able to hike at my own pace and my guide let me do whatever I wanted to do. It was amazing. We did not use a porter. I carried all my own stuff. And when I was in the tea houses on the trek I had a 2 bed room to myself every single night except for Gorakshep which was the smallest and last village before base camp. Every tea house we stayed in was very nice and clean. Just like the hotel in Kathmandu where they put me up before and after my trek. The restaurants inside all the tea houses we stayed in were all nice too. I am not a good researcher (I’m just a 22 year old solo traveler in college) so it was very nice to just give this company some money and they figured everything out for me. A hotel before you leave and when you get back from EBC Trek, flight to lukla to start the trek, they give you a nice guide & porter if you want one, they figure out your tea house stays during the trek, and they can arrange a helicopter from gorakshep back to Kathmandu when you are done, or hike back down the mountain and they have a flight included from Lukla back to Kathmandu. Oh also they include airport pickup and drop off from the hotel they put you in. No hiccups at all. Everything went as planned.
