My journey began about six years ago after a huge breakup and culminated at Everest Base Camp (EBC) in late May- early June 2024 with my guide, Nara. I can't decide how to describe him: as my very tough little brother or as an older and very wise one, despite being younger than me. I've always wanted a brother, and on the trek, he felt like a mirror of me. It's so important who you pick. It really can make or break the whole experience. didn't just feel like a guide. our sense of humours matched, our point of views and how we loved mountaineering, he knew when to encourage when to push and when to Pace off with how my physical well-being went as it was my first real high altitude experience. I mainly hike solely. as struggle to find someone with the perseverance to hike as often. But I met my match with Nara. I first heard about EBC two years ago in a cafe, while talking to a girl back home about Argentina's Alpine region and Nepal's Everest. Wade, a fellow Australian, had just returned from EBC with his brother. Overhearing our conversation, he joined us and shared his experience. Wade mentioned that EBC is relatively affordable and a crucial step before attempting the summit. He offered to send me his diary and his guide's details on Facebook, which I eagerly accepted. Initially, I wasn't ready. I received Wade's email but focused on life. After landing a tough job and moving around for a year, I needed a huge break. I revisited Wade's diary, and my planning went into full speed. After corresponding with Nara and his brother Raj about what to bring from Australia, I found myself on a plane to Nepal a few weeks later. Upon arrival, Raj collected me from the airport, wrapped a lucky scarf around me, and delivered me safely to my hotel. I had planned a five-day trip to Pokhara, which Raj helped organize. It was an amazing place, reminiscent of Kalamata, Greece, with friendly people and lovely weather. On my return from Pokhara, Raj took over the planning of flights, porters, and the rendezvous point with Nara at Namche Bazaar. The weather was perfect, with only one rainy afternoon. Despite a bumpy road midway through the trip, a doctor from Adelaide by chance stationed at one of the tea houses gave me a checkup, and we continued to EBC. Mission completed, we returned to Lukla without any issues. Raj and Nara's exceptional service didn't end there. They accompanied me to Kathmandu, where we did grand tours and celebrated multiple times, even finding some of the last Everest beer in production. It was the best way to celebrate my EBC trek. I wouldn't change a thing. It truly felt like a tailor-made service from Nara and Raj. I can't wait to return in a few years time for the next level in mountaineering adventures. strongly recommend you book. don't hesitate, life's short sometimes moving fast is the best way. you don't need to wait for a friend. or a group of people as I did it solely just me and guide.

My wife and I have hiked 3 times with Himalayan Hiker in 5 years,EBC、ACT and EBC+Gokyo。If you like snow mountains,EBC+Gokyo is the best。The guide and porters are very experienced and friendly, the trekking arrangement is great。We had unforgettable time, enjoyed the best snow mountain view。Raj and we also become good friends。Hopefully travel returns to normal soon, and we can trek together again。

We went with Raj to Gokyo Ri and from there over the Cho la Pass to Everest Base Camp. It took us 15 days and it was one of the best treks ever. The landscape and especially the mountains are breathtaking. During the trek, Raj became a really good friend and we had the best time ever. His English skills are very good and since he knows so many people on this hike, you will get in touch with the history and culture of the people in the Kumbu Valley. In addition, Raj knows the trails so well that he gives you an exact route description every day! If I go back to Nepal I will definitely do another trek with Raj! If you are looking for the full Nepal experience, check out their program! Highly recommended!
